¾ cup of hot water ¼ cup of ube powder 3 ¼ cup of all-purpose flower 1 ½ teaspoon of yeast 1 teaspoon of salt 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs 165 gms or 1 block of quick melt cheese 1 egg 6 tablespoons of sugar 1 cup of warm milk 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil




1 tablespoon of liquid ube extract

Before getting started remember to grease your palms with oil. This is to prevent the dough from sticking to your hands. Start by putting the ube powder in a bowl and pouring hot water in its until its rehydrated. 2. In a separate bowl add flour, sugar and salt and mix it. 3. Pour in oil, warm milk and the egg and mix. Add the yeast and mix again. 4. Now add the hydrated ube and mix well until its mixed properly. Since this will be sticky, you can use your greased hands to mix it well. 5. Place the dough on a flat surface now and using both your hands knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until the texture turns soft from sticky. 6. Make the dough into a ball and then slightly coat some oil on top. Place this ball of dough in the large bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Let the dough rise until you see that it is twice its size. 7. Take the risen dough and divide it into two parts. Take the first past and using a knife cut it into 6 equal parts. Repeat this with the other half of the dough as well. 8. Place a cube of cheese at the centre of the flat ball and then fold the sides to make sure the cheese is inside it. Re roll the ball now and then place a few breadcrumbs on the top to add the texture. 9. Pre heat the oven at 340degree F. Line the baking tray with greased baking sheet and place the rolls on it. Leave some gap between each roll since it rises. Bake this ube for 20 minutes and wait to see the colour turn slightly brown. 10. Remove it from the oven and once its touchable serve it well.
