My Lovebug
(The case of the kissing bug with the heart of steel)
Gold-plated silver, Damascus steel, fine gold 2021

My darling...Lovebug...
That’s what we call our beloved, but sometimes even the most beautiful relationships are overshadowed...
The conenose bug, also known as kissing bug, is a very dangerous insect that stings its victims in their sleep with its sniffer and spreads Chagas disease, a tropical parasitic infection, by its bite.
In my concept, I wish to illustrate the shared experience of the unpredictability of love and the sense of vulnerability represented by the human heart and the chain that runs through it.

Gold-plated silver, tsavorite 2021
I am truly fascinated by the beauty of the human body and the extraordinary complexity of its biology. Some of my most personal subjects relate to those jewellery pieces that have the anatomical heart as their central element.

A legacy from behind
Anodized titanium, black diamonds, silver, PVD coated stainless steel 2018
The silver ring left by great-grandparents has been through many events over the decades before it found its way to me. It has been worn, damaged, and cracked here and there. So rather than repairing it, I built a secure setting around it in this afterworld concept.

Where materials, surfaces and techniques meet
The core of my subject matter is based on workflows and contrasts that emerge at the intersection of my practice and the materials I prefer.
My approach is focused on versatility, recycling and the myriad possibilities offered by contemporary solutions.

TeaTime
Gold plated silver, emerald

The idea of this ring was conceived during an emotionally overwhelming conversation, when stress triggered an involuntary substitute action.
I began to fumble with the first object I got my hands on, the sealing plastic string of a teabag. Seeing the result, I wondered how I could give new meaning to this disposable object.

Anodized titanium, mahogany 2021
Pollution and recycling is one of the most pressing issues of our time. Even in jewellery manufacturing, materials that could be reused with a little creativity are often wasted. My aim was to eliminate the imperfections of a titanium piece left over from a ruined project, which gave me the idea of negative bubbles. I wanted to raise awareness of tree planting by using the colour green and the remainder of the wooden ornaments.

Geometric jewellery
My enthusiasm for the applied sciences has kept me interested in geometric shapes. In some of my jewellery, I am guided by this passion, as well as by the need for functionality and variability.

Captivity I-II
Palladium white gold, tsavorite, freshwater pearl, steel wire rope 2021

Feelings of confinement and imprisonment are uncomfortable, uncertain and anxiety-ridden. The inner tension that comes along with this is symbolized by the coldness and rigidity of the steel wire rope. The square functions as a cage, which can be rotated in any direction, but the locked sphere does not move from its constrained position, thereby also giving a sense of the hopelessness that takes hold.

Openable ring

Nickel plated copper, steel spring 2013
Our finger size varies daily depending on the weather, what we eat and our thermoregulation. As my final examination project in the first year of my professional studies, I was looking for a way to mechanically eliminate the problem of a ring being clamped on the finger. The spring is not only the fundamental operating principle, but also a design element.

Monoliths Damascus steel, galvanized silver, gold, precious stones 2023

A „monolith” is usually a building, sculpture or natural phenomenon with a homogenous, large and complex structure.
It is a representation of the connection between God and humankind. Conceptually speaking, consciousness, perception and memory are the only elements constituting the unity of our thinking.
It is a symbol of integrity, stability and belonging.
More figurative representation

Instead of repairing an old, ordinary piece of porcelain souvenir that had already been broken several times I decided to go for a timeless solution. The concept was not something that needed a lot of thinking. After recalling my knowledge of art history, I dreamt up the rose gold limbs of Salvador Dali’s elephants. As a result of such protheses, the piece not only became everlasting but got enriched with new values as well.

Viktor Kraken wants the crown! Copper, silver, damascus steel, a wisdom tooth of my best friend 2022

Can we make our choices wisely in the matrix of parallel realities and propaganda?
Shall the crown be in its rightful place or needs to be fought for it with tooth and claw?
The paradox future is the result of our decisions made by fear of a monster.

Damascus steel, gold, plexiglass, breast milk
2022 - 2023
As I am particularly fond of abstract art, this is how the fetus pendant came about. After refining the real ultrasound image with 3D modelling and elaborating the details, it was created from gold. However, I went further: the jewellery is inset with damascus steel, and the resulting inner cavity is used to conceal a smaller pendant with the help of magnets, which I filled with breast milk after the delivery. This piece took me almost 1 year to complete, with the design phase starting from the 36th week of pregnancy and the production phase lasted until the baptism of the newborn.

Silver, rubber, anodized titanium

2020, 2022
I don’t pass judgment on anyone; everyone should feel good in their own way.
If you can buy mass-produced sniffer gadgets in stores and online, why not use for a personalized custom-made piece of jewelry instead?
