Welcome to Trinity Anglican School (TAS), the leading independent school in Far North Queensland, based in the beautiful tropical city of Cairns.
The core belief of our school is that every student can succeed and meet their academic potential with the right support and environment. The TAS community nurtures the individual strengths of students and fosters curiosity to create outstanding young men and women.
For over 40 years, TAS has earned a reputation for academic excellence, exceptional pastoral care and a strong sense of community. Meet the Senior Leadership TeamTeaching & Learning
Mr Paul Sjogren, Principal
Mr Sjogren leads a vibrant and values-driven school community grounded in the moral and ethical foundations of Anglican education. He is dedicated to nurturing a supportive and engaging culture that empowers every student to achieve their personal best while building character, resilience and a strong sense of service.
Mr Tim Manea, Deputy Principal
Mr Manea supports the day-to-day leadership and strategic direction of the School, working closely with staff, students and families to ensure a positive, high-performing school environment. He plays a key role in teaching and learning, student wellbeing and school operations, helping to foster a culture of excellence, care and opportunity for every student.
Mr Andre Leroy, Head of Teaching and Learning
As the Head of Teaching and Learning, Mr Leroy oversees the academic community at TAS, providing strategic leadership for teaching and learning across Prep to Year 12. An educator of over 20 years, Andre brings a breadth of experience and a deep understanding of diverse educational settings.
Mrs Jennifer Fukushima, Head of Secondary
Ms Fukushima works closely with the Heads of House and Year Level Coordinators as part of the Pastoral Care team to provide proactive support for students throughout their TAS journey. She is committed to fostering a positive school culture and supporting students’ academic and personal development in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Mr Peter Gazzola, Head of Primary
Mr Gazzola leads TAS Primary across both White Rock and Kewarra Beach Campus, with a clear vision of unity, high standards and strong pastoral care. He is passionate about building confident, capable young learners and works closely with staff and families to ensure every child is known, supported and challenged.
Mr Darren Osmond, Head of Experiential Learning
Mr Osmond leads programs that extends learning beyond the classroom, inspiring students to develop confidence, resilience and a spirit of adventure. Through outdoor education, service, leadership and global experiences, the role ensures every student has opportunities to build character, strengthen teamwork and discover their potential in real-world settings.

We Are
Kewarra Beach Campus
Kewarra Beach Campus educates students from Pre-Kindy to Year 6.
Catering to families in the Northern Beaches, Kewarra Beach Campus is located five minutes from the beach and 30 minutes from Cairns city. Our campus is rich in natural beauty and features extensive recreational areas, a frog pond, a vegetable garden, an undercover multi-purpose hall, a library, an orienteering course, and an expansive oval.
White Rock Campus
White Rock Campus educates students from Pre-Kindy to Year 12.
Located a short 15 minutes from Cairns city, our modern campus boasts a state-of-the-art STEM Centre, expansive grounds and ovals, an indoor multi-purpose hall, a library, a vegetable garden, a rock-climbing wall, a performing arts centre, and an Aquatic Centre with an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

TAS Early Learning Centre (ELC)
TAS ELCs are located at both the White Rock and Kewarra Beach Campus, and offer a two-year program consisting of:
• One-year Pre-Kindergarten and One-year Registered Queensland Kindergarten Program.
All TAS ELC programs align with Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and are rich in naturebased and enquiry-based learning that ultimately aims to ease the transition to Prep.
Primary Learning (Prep - Year 6)
Primary education is offered at both the White Rock and Kewarra Beach Campus, and aims to foster a lifelong love of learning. Children are encouraged to explore their curiosities and develop a strong set of skills for personal and academic growth.
Secondary Learning (Year 7 – Year 12)
Our Secondary years are about more than academic success. We are committed to nurturing each student as an individual, supporting them to grow in confidence, character and capability. Our dedicated teachers take the time to know every student, guiding them to achieve their personal best and helping them to explore pathways that reflect their interests, strengths and aspirations for the future.

Connections Inspiring...
TAS has a number of opportunities and services available to support community members.
Families
Families are supported in their transition to TAS with the opportunity to partner with fellow parents in buddy programs and community groups. In addition, community events, and initiatives provide the opportunity for families to integrate into the TAS community in a social context.
Alumni
The TAS Alumni network dates back to 1983 and creates a conduit between past and current students. The program allows Alumni to celebrate and honour where they came from by enriching the lives of current families and students.

Adventure Inspiring...
The TAS Outdoor Education (OE) Program is highly regarded as one of the leading programs in the country.
Outdoor Education begins in Year 1 and ranges from a partial day to multiple weeks in duration. Programs are designed to nurture each student’s relationship with themselves, their peers and the natural environment.
In addition to the Outdoor Education Program, TAS offers adventure-based extension opportunities, including:

Global Opportunity Inspiring...
The academic curriculum is supported by a variety of opportunities for students to experience other cultures.
Language Tour
Students studying Japanese have the opportunity to deepen their language skills through immersive learning experiences. By engaging directly with the language and culture, students develop greater confidence in communication, cultural understanding and real-world application beyond the classroom.
Round Square
Via Round Square, a worldwide organisation of over 280 schools, TAS students partake in global service and leadership initiatives, as well as International exchange.
Global Tours and Expedition
At TAS, learning extends far beyond the classroom, with a wide range of tours and expeditions designed to inspire curiosity, build character and broaden students’ perspectives. Students can pursue their passions through experiences such as service tours, with past destinations including Nepal, India and Tanzania, a Literary Tour of the United Kingdom, Space Camp at NASA in the United States, Japanese language and cultural tours, and a variety of sporting tours. Whatever your child is curious about, there are opportunities to explore it further, supporting their growth in confidence, independence and global awareness.
Creativity Inspiring...
Visual Art
Visual Art fosters self-expression and creative thinking. Students explore a wide range of mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and digital art, building both technical skills and creative confidence. Students have regular opportunities to display their work at staged and community events.
Drama
Performing Arts nurtures confidence, collaboration and communication skills by encouraging students to participate in productions ranging from Shakespeare to contemporary plays.
Music
Musical excellence is supported by one-onone instrumental and vocal lessons provided by professional tutors. Numerous TAS bands, ensembles and choirs perform regularly at school events and Eisteddfods, giving students the chance to perform in a supportive, vibrant environment.
Dance
Dance provides students with a dynamic outlet for creativity, movement and storytelling. Opportunities to perform in concerts, productions and community events allow dancers to showcase their progress and experience the excitement of performing on stage.

At the heart of everything that we do, are the TAS core values of Perseverance, Integrity, Compassion and Curiosity.
These values are reinforced through the Pastoral Care Program which ensures each student develops a sense of belonging, and skills of resilience, social etiquette and emotional intelligence. The program is supported by internal and external resources including a counsellor, chaplain, community groups, tutoring assistance and more!
House System
A key pillar of the Pastoral Care Program is the vertical house system, which nurtures a sense of belonging and acceptance for students.
Homeroom
Within each house, students are allocated to a homeroom, whom they have day-to-day contact with. Homeroom teachers ensure the wellbeing of each student and develop a sense of community spirit.

Founded on Christian values, TAS welcomes students from a variety of religious backgrounds and diverse cultures with the understanding that we all share the same core values.
Students learn not just about the Anglican and Christian faith, but about all religions in order to foster an open mind and deeper understanding of others.
Whilst an Independent school, TAS is part of a network of Anglican Schools, supported by both the North Queensland Anglican Diocese and the Anglican Schools Commission in Brisbane.
TAS Students also benefit from an on-campus Chaplain who provides support to students, staff and parents as required.
