Police appeal after biker is robbed Police investigating a robbery in Little Sutton are appealing for information from the public. A 24-year-old man was riding his motorbike along Hawthorne Road when two men crossed his path and stopped right in front of him. One of the men then pushed him on his shoulder causing him to fall off his bike. The other man held what looked like a knife and demanded he hand over his belongings. The victim gave them to the men and they ran off. One man is described as being around 5ft 11ins to 6ft in height with bushy eyebrows and of a skinny build. He was in all plain black clothing and had a ski mask covering his face. The second man is described as around 6ft tall and of a skinny build. He was wearing a black hooded coat, black trousers and shoes as well as a ski mask that was brown and green. Anyone who recognises the description of the men or has any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 1042 of 17th August. Information can also be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Mayor visits the Sea Cadets The Mayor of Ellesmere Port, Cllr Nicole Mearden, was invited to the Ellesmere Port Sea Cadets 75th anniversary Mess Dinner recently.

Man charged with assault Police in Ellesmere Port have charged a man following a serious assault. A 37-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were walking along a pavement on Rochester Drive near to Maiden Gardens when a car drove into them. Anthony Standeven, aged 28, from Warkworth Court, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, two counts of attempted wounding and driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at West Cheshire Magistrates Court.
