A national standard for overall institutional strength, alumni-giving percentage is often used to measure the sustained engagement between a university and its most dedicated constituency: its alumni. When alumni engage, excellence is often the result.
Currently, Tarleton State’s alumni giving percentage of 3.5% trails the national average of 8%. The modest level of engagement is not reflective of the momentum and excitement felt across the institution. Few universities support a more engaged, energized student population and the appeal of Tarleton State has never been stronger.

Tarleton State's alumni network is more than 100,000 strong. Despite our strengths, 97% of our alumni have yet to make a philanthropic gift to support our growing university. Your support can directly accelerate the university's rise as the premiere comprehensive university in the nation. To rise and be counted in the BE A TEXAN drive, make a minimum annual gift of $125.00 ($10.50 per month) to any college, department or program of your choice through the Texan Excellence Fund. Your contribution grants you immediate membership in the TEF, along with benefits corresponding to your giving level.
You’ll also receive our exclusive “I’M A TEXAN” tee — a symbol of your response to this meaningful invitation. This unique offer reflects the values that define our alumni: drive, determination and a strong work ethic found in every Tarleton State Texan.

Be A Texan Drive
A gift through the Texan Excellence Fund at $125.00 ($10.50 a month) or more qualifies as a BE A TEXAN drive donation and earns the donor Texan Excellence Fund membership and the limited edition "I'M A TEXAN" tee.
As a new TEF member, you will receive your official Texan Excellence Fund membership card, membership decal, lanyard and sleeve to display your card at exclusive TEF-only events.
If you designate the Tarleton Alumni Association (TAA) with your gift, you will instantly be enrolled as a dual TEF – TAA member with all associated benefits, including access to the TAA Tailgate prior to all home football games.
THIS IS THE TEXAN EXCELLENCE FUND
The Texan Excellence Fund (TEF) is Tarleton State’s one-of-akind annual giving program dedicated to generating philanthropic support to advance academic, athletics and overall institutional excellence. It is a benefits-based program, meaning all donors receive exclusive membership benefits that signify the impact of their generosity.
Defined, differentiated membership levels offer TEF donors the opportunity to earn exclusive experiences, offers and invitations to leadership-level events with elevated philanthropic support.
Motivated by its mantra, “One Fund, Many Ways to Give,” TEF allows donors to impact any approved area of campus and receive Texan Excellence Fund membership status.
TEF is not just a “fund.”
