I have completed my graduation in Architecture from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology. It is my passion and curiosity to learn more about architecture that motivates me to explore more and more. My curiosity in me leads me to experiment more, so I prefer to face design challenges by using my understanding of nature, people, form, and cultural sensitivities. I believe in hard work accompanied by enthusiasm and uprightness.

I always believe that architecture can make this world a better living place and ameliorate living qualities.

Enhancement of The Cyclone

Prone Communities in The Ocean Side of Bay of Bengal

Type: Climate Responsive Design

Location: Embankment of the Hatiya Island

The potential client of this project is the poor people on the ocean side of the dike (high-risk zone) of Hatiya Island. Every year they face cyclonic storms and lose their houses of great hardship. This project will improve the lifestyle of targeted people by giving a permanent solution to live in a place where they do not doubt losing their home. About 65.35% of people here depend on agriculture. So the main living unit should be kept in care to give a structural solution to resist cyclones so that they can live peacefully without fear of losing their lives and their own habitat.

This project enhances the lifestyle of poor people by a focus on their living unit and developing a self-sustainable living community.

Design of a Civic Center

This project was a part of the academic studio in the fifth year first semester. The design criteria of this project were to make a public space at the focal point or center of a prominent land area. The goal of the project was to design different types of spaces where people can interact with each other, and all the spaces are interlinked with each other.

The design also respects the locality and context. The site of the project was in Mymensingh. First, l analyzed the context and found out the strength of the city, where I found the precious Ballad whose local name is Mymensigh `Geetika`. This `Geetika` is about to lose due to age. So I wanted to incorporate this concept in the design of the civic center by designing spaces that give a mystical experience.

Rethinking a Social Housing Complex in the New Urban Domain of Rajshahi

Group Project

This Project was done in the fourth year second semester. The design criteria of this project were to make a social housing complex in a prominent land area of Rajshahi city. The project aimed to provide housing at a rate that is less than the commercial rate. It is a kind of condominium housing where the tenants individually own an apartment but share common services and amenities. The aim of social housing is primarily to ensure social integration while maintaining affordability. The design also respects the locality and context. In modern days, the traditional and cultural essence and spatial pattern of Rajshahi are diminishing. It is important to preserve this historic essence to conserve tradition. courtyard-centric social activity, narrow shopping streets, the flow of social (i.e. primary, secondary, and tertiary social) gathering spaces, and arched openings are the historic essence of old Rajshahi that we have incorporated in our design.

Commercial High Rise Building

Type: Commercial Location: London

London is the world’s most renowned and most developed technology-based country. So the first thing that comes to my mind is doing something futuristic and different which will be more helpful and become a landmark. The main location of the site is beside the Thames river. And this river has great influence in London city. From the analysis, I found that there will be a great threat to London in the future because of the water crisis. The water level is decreasing because the number of people is increasing. So I want to collect the rainwater for future preservation, thus there is a need for enough space in the roof to collect the water.

The building form is conical in shape and the bottom part size is smaller than the upper part of my high-rise building so that it catches the maximum amount of water during rain. If the bottom part is smaller there will leave out enough open space.

As we saw in most high-rise buildings there wasn’t enough green or public plaza in the building. So I made an interactive open plaza at my level of entry to welcome all classes of people. High-rise buildings are mainly used for commercial purposes but I give access to all the people in the sky lobby so they can feel the fun of going there.

Design of a Community Center

Year: 2017

Studio: 3.1

Type: Recreational Location: Nepal

Community centers are public locations where members of a community tend to gather for group activities, social support, public information, and other purposes. They may sometimes be open to the whole community or a specialized group within the greater community.

The Site of the community center is an area 20km away from Kathmandu. The goal is to propose a useful infrastructure that improves the daily life of the inhabitants. It shall be a community building serving several of the village’s unaddressed needs. The facility will provide a community room, an atelier, a kitchen, a media/cultural space, and a bathroom (shower and toilets).

The main objective is to create a community space for Nepalese people. The site is in a hilly site so it was a challenge for me to solve this in such a disaster-prone area like an earthquake. My concept is to give a sense of space where they can recall their culture and create a direction from downward to upward of the hill. This place was more friendly as I used locally available materials that are more cost-efficient for the local people to handle this structure. I solve this structure and drainage system and create a segment of the public, semi-public and private space.

The whole Center is directed by the slope of the hill to minimize the cut of the hill. People will go up to enjoy the natural sceneray of the hill. At the end part, there is a court of roots which is a conceptual space to understand their culture.
