SO HERE’S MY STORY!

When things got tough, I did not quit.

Refusing to give up on the life I had built, I adapted and learned a valuable lesson along the way.

I held the unopened bills in my hand and felt the pressure building.

When the recession hit in 2008, it knocked me down, and I had to get creative to keep going.

When I first became a licensed REALTOR® in 2003, I built a successful career with a builder from the start. Years later, when I was asked to give up my license to become an employee, I asked God to show me the way. He answered me with five closings over the next 30 days, and I have been going strong ever since.

While beginning my resale career in 2005, I was fortunate to have wonderful mentors.

They empowered me to build a thriving real estate business as a single mother. There were plenty of overwhelming moments, but I was determined to make things work on my own. Determination is a big part of who I am, and it has only grown stronger throughout the years.

My resolve has been tested many times. Through divorce, health changes, and being laid off after 15 years in my prior career in telecommunications and technology, I have never given up. Even when faced with starting over at 35 years old in a new career, I focus on moving forward and improving myself. In the process, I lost 80 pounds over a year of rigorous training and lifestyle changes ( which I have kept off for over 20 years!).

When the market crash, I adapted as I always have. I refuse to let circumstances dictate my success. When the crash first hit, I did not watch TV for two years. Instead, I built up my website, learned all I could about targeted ads and became a consultant helping other agents build sites of their own. It help make ends meet during a tough time, but the

demand became crazy! I stayed in real estate full-time through it all and became an expert on digital marketing.

Once the market picked up, I shifted it out of consulting for other agents and back into working with clients, employing everything I have learned to help my clients reach new levels of success. Then in 2017, I established my brokerage Atlanta First Realty, so I could be a real estate consultant for all my clients needs. My son, Rashard, join my team in 2021 and I am excited to see all we will accomplish together.

I am a go-getter and do not like being told I cannot do something. I was told I could not make it on my own as a single mother with a car payment, mortgage, and a child, but I did. Time and again, circumstances tested my commitment to keep going, but I refuse to let anything stop me from building the life I wanted for myself and my son. I always want to help others build a life they are dreaming of.

Today, I feel better than I did at 35 because I changed my lifestyle, I adapted with whatever life threw at me, but most of all I remain open and loving in the face of great difficulty. There were a lot of moments I thought about giving up, but each time I was given a reminder to keep going. At the end of the day, we are all just people. I realized that by loving myself for who I am and embracing my passion, anything is possible. and embracing my passion, anything is possible.

Whenever I am not working I enjoy playing piano, and going to concerts in the park. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is taking my client dreams and turning them into reality.
