How to Prepare and Care for a Spray Tans Tanned Melbourne We believe that preparing for a spray tan is one of the most important steps in achieving the perfect spray tan, alongside the spray tanner and solution used. All clients are highly encouraged to follow our pre-tan information plan prior to your appointment
THE DAY BEFORE WAX & SHAVE 24-48 HOURS PRIOR • • •
Waxing and/or shaving should be completed a minimum 24-48 hours before your spray tan appointment. We recommend shaving with a razor that does not have a moisture strip on it. Allow time for any skin irritation from waxing to subside.
HAIR/FACE/NAILS APPOINTMENTS • •
Many beauty treatments use oil based products or stripping agents, which can prevent the spray tan from sticking to your skin As a rule of thumb, a spray tan should be the very last beauty appointment you attend before your intended occasion.
NO BAR SOAPS • • •
Avoid using bar soaps or cream based body washes as these products leave a residue on the skin that spray tan won’t stick to correctly. Using a gel based ph balancing body wash means that you can maintain the skin’s natural balance of oils, good bacteria and nutrients. Having balanced pH levels of the skin commonly deters from tans becoming ‘orange’
