can’t have a positive without a negative. Many people are seeking to be part of a positive movement. But there’s probably never been more depression around because of us all aspiring to achieve this positive view. It’s impossible to go through a whole day being 100% positive. Yet we beat ourselves up because we think that with all the things we’re learning about being positive, we should be able to maintain the state. The reality is, we need both negative and positive to grow. Sometimes nega-­holics are good for us because they make us really dig deeper inside ourselves. We have a bit more conviction for what we’re doing or we make sure our knowledge is more intact or our message is stronger, because these people have been negative and challenging us. TANIA: So having both reminds us to never become complacent and that we still have to keep our game high. MANDY: Our emotions weigh us down. Once we balance them, we actually feel lighter, and it clears that brain noise that may have been running our lives for so long. And in that moment, we’re more creative and we’re more attuned to our soul. From there, I just love that mind/ body connection that we have. It’s 46

just so important. Too important to pretend that we’re just an arm, or a leg, or a heart. Our human body is so intricate that it’s awakened to me a greater respect for it. TANIA: What do people need to master to create a long-­term shift? MANDY: It’s more about being comfortable with not being done, not being complete. We never will be. We’re all looking to be
