aged as it is Halloween! Candy will be given out from 8am to 3pm on Halloween along with a raffle ticket for the Wicked Woods contest. Everyone who stops by the offices to trick or treat will not only receive candy, but their name will be entered in a drawing to win 2 tickets to the 5th largest haunted trail in the State of Texas! Why turn that down?

Well Ags, it’s that time of year again! Pre-registration for Spring 2015 is fast approaching, but do you know what classes you need to take? If you do, that is awesome! If you haven't a clue, there is no need to fret! Lucky for you, Gail Rowe, academic advisor, is here to help you. Ms. Rowe has set up dates specifically for student preregistration appointments. Below is the list of available dates for each classification. October 27-31, G6-8 Graduate, U4/Senior Undergraduate, and those with early registration privileges (e.g. student workers, honors, etc.)

November 3-7, U3/Junior Undergraduate November 10-14, U2/ Sophomore Undergraduate November 17-21, U1/Freshmen Undergraduate November 24-25, and December 1-2, Open to All

To schedule an appointment for preregistration advising, go to http://geog.clickbook.net/ Class Schedules have been posted on Howdy and now is a good time to start planning your ideal schedule. Also, a memo from the Department of English has been sent out pertaining to course availability: There is no seat release sched-

ule for ENGL 104. All seats will be released at the beginning of registration. Spring 2015 will be the last semester we will offer a seat release schedule for ENGL 210 and the last semester we will force graduating seniors into this course. Also pertaining to ENGL 210, beginning summer 2015 this course will be open to all classifications. To support and encourage our students, we have several mechanisms for you to include this on your transcript. Currently you can take research hours with a faculty member or internship credit with our Internship Coordinator, Dr. Dan Goldberg. Coming soon

we are planning an internship informational meeting for students wanting to use and develop your skill set outside the classroom. We will keep you posted! Also, a reminder that our next Coffee Klatch will be held on Wednesday, October 29th from 10:00-11:30AM. Feel free to stop by or stay the whole time. GIS Day 2014 is fast approaching and less than a month away! This year’s GIS Day, sponsored by the College of Geosciences, Department of Geography, College of Architecture and University Libraries, will begin on November 17th and conclude on November 19th. It is three days of workshops and programs celebrating geospatial technology. There will be two competitions for students to partici-

The poster session, sponsored by the Water Management and Hydrological Science is open to all Texas A&M students. Cash prizes will be given for the top three posters. Any Texas A&M student with a 3.5 cumulative GPR and less than 60 TAMU credit hours is eligible to apply.
