The goal of the Center for Athletic Academic Services is to provide services that enhance the academic experience, assist in the retention and development of student-athletes. CAAS promotes the department’s CHAMPS/ Life Skills and CHOICES programs and the five commitment areas (commitment to academic excellence, athletic excellence, personal development, career development and service). Among the services offered are study hall, a computer lab, tutoring, as well as learning assistants. Scholastic supervisors work with the department, students, coaches, faculty and staff to coordinate an athlete’s schedule, academic eligibility, and provide support. The CAAS is located on the second floor of Classroom East is directed by Jennifer Baker. She is assisted by Bailey Wilson, Kayleigh McCauley and Alfonso Ramos.
