THE MOUNTAIN
The unquestioned star of the Tamarack show is West Mountain. It’s home to an average of 300 inches of snow that creates 2,800 vertical feet of endless magical terrain.. While the snow eventually departs to return again next season, the mountain never does. The terrain that once hid beneath the snow becomes a mountainous playground of hiking, mountain biking, dis golfing, and zip-lining for you to explore until the snow decides to cover it up again.

CATERING SALES SPECIALIST
What is the role of the Catering Sales Specialist? Our Catering Sales Specialist will assist you in planning as the representative of the hotel and its services. They will work with you in planning the details, food and beverage selections, and setup of your event. The Catering Sales Specialist will provide you with BEOs, diagrams, and vendor recommendations as well as any questions that may arise in regards to our services. Does the Catering Sales Specialist help me negotiate vendor contracts? This is a service that a full-service event planner can provide. We are happy to answer any questions or give advice. Will my Catering Sales Specialist coordinate my rehearsal? The Catering Sales Specialist will set up a date and time for your rehearsal. A wedding planner, day of coordinator, DJ, or officiant will assist in running the rehearsal.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Can we bring in any outside food? The only outside food allowed to be brought in is your cake, which is to be provided by a licensed baker. There is a cake cutting service fee of $3.00 per person for any outside cakes brought in. All other food must be provided by Tamarack Resort. Can we do a signature cocktail? Yes, we are happy to create two signature cocktails for your event. Pricing is determined by ingredient choice.
SET UP
What tables are provided? 60” round tables that can seat up to 8-10 guests are provided. Additional tables for your use (such as head tables, sweetheart tables, gift table, cake table, etc) are: 6’ rectangular, 3’ square, and cocktail tables.
Am I required to have assigned seating? No, but you are required to have place cards with meal indicators if you are doing a choice of plated entrées for your guests. This is to ensure that our servers deliver the correct meals to your guests. Final entrée selections are due 15 days prior to wedding. Who is responsible for setup and breakdown? Tamarack will handle setup and breakdown for all resort-provided rentals. Setup and breakdown of any outside rentals will be the responsibility of your vendor.

Are we required to use Tamarack Resort’s preferred vendors? We are happy to work with any vendors. Our preferred vendor list is provided to assist you in your search. Do I need to provide meals for my vendors? This is not required and typically discussed with each vendor to meet their individual needs. This meal would be the same meal as your guests for the same cost. Can Tamarack Resort refrigerate items for me? Yes, we do! We have a medium-sized fridge for storage on the day of the event, items must be removed after the event.
Do you allow live music or bands? Absolutely! 10:00pm is the end time for amplified outdoor music.

DECOR
Can we decorate the Event Space? Yes, you can decorate however you’d like, as long as there is nothing that will puncture or leave residue on the walls or ceiling. No confetti, glitter is allowed. All ceiling décor or décor that requires the use of a ladder must be set up by a vendor that is insured. Are candles allowed? Candles are allowed in enclosed container. Can décor be delivered before the event? Yes, we recommend rentals being delivered at least 24 hours prior to the wedding with Tamarack Wedding Coordinator approval. Can décor be left overnight for later pickup? Any items that need to be saved, must be removed from the room after the event. Any items on the lawn or plaza need to be removed on the day of the event as well. Any remaining items will be disposed of. Please check with your Catering Sales Specialist if other arrangements need to be made. Can Tamarack staff move items from the ceremony to reception? This would be the responsibility of either your Wedding Planner, Day of Coordinator, and/or Vendors. Can we throw confetti? Confetti and rice are not allowed.
Can I store items prior to my wedding? Any non-perishable items can be stored if they are reasonably sized. Contact your Catering Sales Specialist about Cake & Florals.

Are there guestroom discounts for my guests? Tamarack can provide a discount off room reservations for courtesy blocks, which do not provide guaranteed availability. If you would like guaranteed availability for guest rooms, it is best to contract them and have these charges be included within your master bill. Do we get a changing room? We do not offer a complimentary bridal or groomsmen suite, however it is recommended to reserve a guestroom the night prior to and the night of your wedding for all day use. What time can I check-in / out? Check-in is at 4:00pm. Check-out is 11:v Does Tamarack Resort offer a shuttle service? We offer one-way and round trip shuttles from McCall and the Boise Airport. Guests can make one requested stop along the way, included in pricing. We also offer Dial – A – Ride, which is based on a first come, first serve basis. The Dial – A – Ride shuttle is limited to the immediate resort area.

Am I required to have an event coordinator or planner? We highly recommend at least having a Wedding Planner or Day-of Coordinator for more than 50 guests, as they will ensure your wedding day will be perfect and stress free.
Is there a tax on the service charge? Yes, state tax is required on the service charge. Can I have a slideshow? Absolutely. We have projectors & screens available for rent or you are welcome to bring your own.
What happens if I have guests cancel after I have given my final headcount? We cannot reduce the number after the guaranteed numbers have been provided. Can I have my rehearsal dinner at Tamarack Resort? Yes! Consult your Catering Sales Specialist for pricing and availability. We also offer welcome receptions, bridal luncheons, and post-wedding brunches.
