For 11 months, Sgt. Chris Flasphaler has been unable to see his daughter in person. For 11 months he has been unable to tuck her into to bed. Alexander City Police Department and the Board of Education are dealing with what they call a “credible threat” of a school shooting that was came in a social media post made that surfaced Friday. Police officials issued an alert Saturday morning about the post that was made on the social media site IFunny by an individual with the screen name “Blackyard_V2” saying that “Benjamin Russell high school will be shot up on 9/6.2016.” The post went on to mention the name of a student and closed with the letters “lol.” But authorities are not laughing.
