Art at the Lake set this weekend at Children’s Harbor STAFF REPORT TPI Staff

One of Lake Martin’s great artistic traditions is set for this weekend at Children’s Harbor. Art on the Lake is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grounds of Children’s Harbor Chapel and Hank Williams’ Cabin, right next to the “lapping waves of Lake Martin,” a release from Children’s Harbor reads. Art on the Lake provides an opportunity for artists from all over the Southeast to showcase their art. Original

work, including canvas, jewelry, pottery and sculpture are available for purchase. This is the 11th year for the event. Last year, 47 artists presented fine arts and handmade crafts to a crowd of more than 5,000 people. The event is free to the public, and a portion of the proceeds from the art purchases helps support Children’s Harbor in continuing its mission to provide camp, counseling and support services to seriously ill children and their families. Parking is free at Time Capsule Park

Dozens of artisans are expected to fill the grounds at Children’s Harbor this weekend for the 11th Annual Art by The Lake event. The event is free to the public and shuttles will be available to and from parking areas.
