Tim Taylor and his family have seen a real living dinosaur and lived to talk about it. Recently, the Taylor family Tim, Teresa and Aaron, who are Alexander City residents, were bank fishing on the Coosa River when Tim’s son snagged a fish on his wife’s Zebco 33 rod and reel. “My wife baited the hook with worms and threw it out as we were fishing for catfish,” Tim said. “He noticed a bite and started to reel it in.” Tim noticed that the fish was putting up quite a fight and thought it might be something besides a catfish. “I thought it could be a big carp or something,” Tim said. “My son fought it for several minutes and it was starting to get close to some fallen trees, so I took over.” Tim said he was used to catching big catfish. “The biggest catfish I have caught with a rod and Submitted / The Outlook reel would go over 40 pounds,” Tim said.
