Local woman arrested for theft from employer By MITCH SNEED Editor

An Alexander City woman turned herself in Monday after a warrant was issued as part of an ongoing investigation into theft from the office of an area contractor. Tallapoosa County Sheriff Jimmy Abbett confirmed that Christin “Christi” N. Richardson, 46, of Alexander City was arrested Monday and charged with Richardson first-degree theft of property. The candidates in the crowded field hoping to follow Rep. Mark Tuggle, who announced last year that he would not seek another term, took giving their answers to a series of questions at a forum hosted by the Tallapoosa County Republican Party. The forum was held at the Tallapoosa County Board of Realtors office on Church Street in Alexander City and was moderated by Bro. Wayne Cowhick.
