Last year at the World Championships he was second in both competitions. Promoted as “The Bama Bull,” Bishop knows he will likely run into Paul “The Assassin” Talbott if he is to claim the 165-
More than 200,000 viewed postings of the sightings of a black bear in various locations across Tallapoosa County over the last few days. From pictures, jokes, speculation and questions – the bear was the talk of the town. But it appears that the furry visitor who has been making news all across Tallapoosa County has moved on. Alabama Conservation Officer Sgt. Michael East said that after a flurry of activity and multiple calls reporting a large black bear bear being spotted into Thursday evening, no sightings were reported in the area on Friday. “It does look like it was just one bear and after several calls Thursday, we haven’t had a single one (Friday)” East said. “The last information that we received was it being spotted a couple of times on Gardner Dairy Road near Dadeville. Judging by the direction it was traveling, from that last report, there are a lot of dense woods and nowhere close to the number of houses in that direction as there were where it had just come from.” East said while there is no guarantee

launch a campaign for the city’s top spot. Fuller, a lieutenant with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Marine Police Unit, ran four years ago as well. Fuller joins incumbent Charles Shaw, Councilman Tony Goss, Mark Lamborne and Jim Nabors in the race. Local radio personality Jeremy Jeffcoat and local minister and businessman Tony Harris also announced this week that they are looking into running for seats on the city council. Jeffcoat said he is “seriously considering” a run for the District 3 seat now held by Bob Howard. Howard is not planning to run, but Scott Hardy said he will run for the seat. Hardy had been awaiting approval of the United Way Board of Directors before making it official.
