Aided by picture-perfect weather, the 2017 Lake Martin Young Professionals Polar Plunge drew an estimated 350 people for good food, good friends, good times and for some a not-so-frigid dip in waters of Lake Martin. A spring-like day in January that featured clear skies, a high of 77 and a water temperature of 54 degrees made for a festive day on the grounds of Kowaliga Restaurant. “I don’t think you could have drawn it up any better if you had tried,” said John Howell, president of the Lake Martin Young Professionals. “I mean it was perfect. The weather, the food, the people, it
was just amazing.” The event was the second for the Young Professionals who kicked off the tradiSPLASH tion last year.
