• Upload your CV to Handshake to fill out your profile. You can also fill out your profile manually. If you need some help with your CV, book in for an appointment with the Talent team.
• Add a professional photo and fill out all areas of your profile.
• By filling out your interests you can get better and more relevant job recommendations. You're also more likely to get a recruiter message you. 80% of students who share their interests on their profile receive a message from a recruiter.
• The more key words and skills you have in your profile, the more you will come up in Recruiter searches
• List any societies or organisations you are involved with. The more you include, the more likely you are to be approached by a recruiter.
• Skills are the primary field that employers use to search for job candidates. List your skills to demonstrate your abilities that make you a great candidate. You can list soft skills such as communication and teamwork or technical skills such as data analytics or project management.
• You need to make your profile public for employers to find you! You are five times more likely to be found and messaged by employers if you do this step.
