Nature is our best inspiration and our greatest ally, it is only in perfect balance that we can have a positive contribution to human evolution.

PLP Architecture | London, United Kingdom The main focus was on two projects in Tokyo, Japan. I took part in the design development of a competition proposal for a sustainable mid-rise building in Ginza. Subsequently, the team and I worked on the concept design development of the entrance atrium and space planning of a large mixed-use masterplan and two tower project in Hibiya.

LEFT Architects | Beirut, Lebanon | New York, USA The internship program with Columbia University focused on the sustainable planning of the city of Sidon’s waterfront in Lebanon.

HUMANITARIAN Aug – Sep 2020

Disaster Relief Mission | Beirut, Lebanon Flew into Beirut after the devastating blast on August 4th which displaced more than 300,000, and destroyed 80,000 homes. In collaboration with a team of architects, we took on the mission of assessing the damage of different zones and mobilized efforts to restore 70 damaged units allowing families to move back to their homes.

Flow Residence The proposed design reintegrates the building's connection to nature by bridging it to the nighboring park on the West side of the site with a series of twisting ramps. This creates interesting floor to ramp connections that give the inhabitants endless ways of vertical transportation and reintegrates outdoor recreational ativities in modern student housing.

The porous ramps take up 2 900 m2 of the site. They are engineered to manage waste water that is then reused for plant irrigation.

House of Helios The house is designed to fulfill the needs of a nocturnal writer and a diurnal furniture designer. The program is used by each inhabitant differently accomodating to their opposing lifestyles. The inhabitants interact with eachother in the gallery spaces according to their different sleeping patterns. The design elevates the lyrical meaning of dawn and sunset.

The strategically placed smart roof transforms the sun's radiation into sustaianble energy allowing the house to become self sufficient.

Fibbonacci's Twist The design of this wooden deployable structure is a result of a thorough study of the materiality of wood , including wood bending and kerf cutting. The strucutural process was based on the Golden Ratio, this guided us to create a mathematically defined Grasshopper script making the structure smooth and precise. It started as a group assignment and developed into an individual project.

La Tour Billion The project joins the movement of the revitalization of Toronto's post-industrial waterfront brownfield sites. At the base, it starts as two seperate towers slowly twisting into eachother until their junction at the 15th floor. A new floorplan is then integrated creating interesting spacial dynamics between the floorplates. The high-tech smooth facade promotes wind control around the building and is an opportunity for harvesting wind energy.

Ginza Green Beacon The competition stage project focused on the client's goal of promoting retail activity and increasing vibrancy in the nighborhood through the creation of an iconic and sustainable building with a diginified design wich will become a destination in itself that draws substial foot traffic to the area.
