The testing laboratory in Tai Ping’s Xiamen artisan workshop has been approved by the Good Laboratories Practices (GLP) Facility Certification Program, an independent seal of approval that requires surveillance inspections of laboratories and testing facilities in order to validate the quality of systems and the integrity of data.
IMO Modul B Tai Ping carpets have been tested and certified by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), a specialised agency of the United Nations that oversees maritime safety. IMO certification has been granted to Tai Ping for MED Certificate Modul B for 100% wool, 100% silk and all wool/silk combinations. Modul B certifies products in the areas of smoke density, smoke toxicity and flame retardancy.
IMO Modul D
FAR 25.853
IMO certification has been granted to Tai Ping for Quality Assurance System Certificate Modul D for 100% wool, 100% silk and all wool/silk combinations. Modul D certifies the manufacturing facility and processes.
Tai Ping aviation products are tested in accordance with FAR 25.853, a vertical Bunsen burner test designed to determine the flammability of materials used in airplane interiors including both cabin and cargo compartments.
8110 Documentation Tai Ping can provide 8110 documentation, which is a ‘Statement of Compliance with Airworthiness Standards’

Determines colour changes in colour fastness tests measured against a precise grey scale specification. Tai Ping adheres to a minimum score of 4 out of 5

ETAD All colorants used in dyeing comply with The Ecological and Toxicological Association of Dyes (ETAD) recommendations on heavy metal impurities in organic dyestuffs and pigment preparations that can have an adverse impact on one’s health.
2002/61/EC EU Directive 2002/61/EC prohibits the use of Azo dyes containing 22 aryl amines, the group of synthetic dyestuffs based on nitrogen that may separate under certain conditions to produce carcinogenic and allergenic aromatic amines.
ISO 45001 The ISO 45001 is the standard for management systems of occupational health and safety (OH&S). The goal of ISO 45001 is the reduction of occupational injuries and diseases, including promoting and protecting physical and mental health. The standard is based on OHSAS 18001 which ISO 45001 has replaced.
