AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT This Amendment to the Employment Contract for Dr. James R. Tarwater, Superintendent is made subsequent to a satisfactory evaluation of the Superintendent's performance at the June 11, 2019 Board of Education Meeting and affects Terms of Contract only: Pursuant to Article 1 of the Employment Contract between James R. Tarwater and the Governing Board of the Lake Tahoe Unified School District, executed May 13, 2005, and most recently amended on June 25, 2019, the parties agree as follows: The contract renewal date of June 30, 2019, in accordance with Article 1 of the contract, and pursuant to the acceptance of the retirement of Superintendent Dr. James R. Tarwater, shall be extended to June 30, 2020. Pursuant to Article 3 of the Employment Contract for the fiscal year 2018/19 the Superintendent's annual base salary will be increased by 2% to $194,623.13, with an additional $3534.00 for an earned Doctorate Stipend, for a total of $198,157.13, effective July 1, 2018. For the fiscal year 2019/20 the Superintendent's annual base salary will be increased by 3.25% to $200,948.38 with an additional $3649.00 for an earned Doctorate Stipend for a total of $204,597.38, effective July 1, 2019. Effective October 1, 2020 the Superintendent's health & benefit cap will increase 0.25%, which is equivalent to $250.00. Approved at the meeting of the Board of Education on June 25, 2019.
