Evergold has two properties in Tahltan Territory: Snoball, located 25 km north of Bob Quinn, and Golden Lion, located close to the eastern limits of Tahltan Territory, north of the Toodoggone River. Both properties were acquired in 2016.

Unfortunately, no activity took place on either property during 2022.

COMPANY OVERVIEW & UPDATE

Any successes or challenges you’d like to share?

The junior exploration sector has faced very negative market conditions over the past year. Investor risk appetite and interest in our sector has largely evaporated and made it very difficult to raise the money required to do exploration. In consequence, we have been cautious with the deployment of capital.

Number of employees working on your project(s)?

We had no employees working on our projects in 2022, nor do we anticipate work on them in 2023.

Where does the majority of your financing come from year to year? What’s the breakdown of who owns your company and what’s your company’s market cap?

Our financing is entirely derived from the sale of company stock to investors. Presently, our ownership is about 13% held by management, and the remaining 87% by retail investors. Our market cap is presently about $4 million.

Tentative plans and hopes for the 2023 season?

Due to the continuing very poor market conditions, at this juncture we do not anticipate any work on our properties in Tahltan Territory in the 2023 field season.

RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TCG & TAHLTAN NATION

During the 2022 season, what involvement did TCG personnel and departments have with your company? If they were not involved, why not?

Unfortunately, because we had no field programs on either of our two properties in 2022, we did not have any interaction with Tahltan Central Government (TCG) personnel and departments.

In 2022, how many Tahltans did you employ?

We had no Tahltan staff in 2022, due to the lack of field programs.

What employment opportunities, now and in the future, are available to Tahltan members?

When our field programs are running, we offer the full spectrum of employment opportunities to Tahltans including: geologists, geotechnicians, prospectors, soil samplers, geophysical personnel, wildlife monitors environmental specialists, pad builders, drillers and driller helpers, carpenters, core cutters, camp manager, health and safety, general camp labour, cooks, and drivers.

Why should Tahltan members want to work for you?

Our company, its key personnel and its key contractors are well known in Tahltan Territory for being Tahltanfriendly. We go out of our way to hire locally, and our working environments are welcoming and friendly. We provide on-the-job training opportunities for those who wish to improve their skills credentials and perhaps move into new occupations.

Did you have any Tahltan contractors working for your company?

No.

Do you have any outside contractors working for you? If so, who are they? Who were the primary contractors you utilized? Do they offer employment opportunities to Tahltan members?

Presently we have no outside contractors working on our Tahltan Territory properties for us, as we do not presently have active field programs. In those years when we have been active, our primary contractor for geological services including field program management has been C.J. Greig & Associates.

C.J. Greig & Associates do hire Tahltan personnel in various roles, including those listed above.
