COMPANY OVERVIEW & UPDATE

Any successes or challenges you’d like to share?

Below: Eskay land package locations.

2022 was a success for Eskay Mining Corporation. Nearly 30 km of drilling was completed. Safety practices were installed in the core shacks to optimize labour and reduce repetition of lifting core boxes.

Number of employees working on your project(s)?

John DeDecker is our only employee; however, we contracted out roughly 120 positions over the course of the season.

Where does the majority of your financing come from year to year? What’s the breakdown of who owns your company and what’s your company’s market cap?

The majority of our financing comes from our investors who are mostly American and Canadian. Eskay Mining Corporation is a publicly traded company and our market cap is $135 million as of February 13, 2023.

Tentative plans and hopes for the 2023 season?

In 2023, we are scaling back our drilling slightly and moving forward with a boots-on-the-ground geological approach to assessor Scarlet-Tarn and SIB-Lulu trends.

RELATIONSHIP WITH THE TCG & TAHLTAN NATION

During the 2022 season, what involvement did TCG personnel and departments have with your company? If they were not involved, why not?

We met with the Tahltan Central Government (TCG) including members from the Lands Department including the Shared Engagement Record Coordinator (SER), the Communications & External Relations Department, and the Employment & Business Director during a site visit and following up on the season at the 2023 Association for Mineral Exploration (AME) Roundup in Vancouver.

In 2022, how many Tahltans did you employ? What positions did they hold in your company and what percentage of Tahltans did you employ compared to others?

All personnel on Eskay’s team, other than John DeDecker, are contractors. However, we worked closely with 24 Tahltan workers across a range of jobs including pad builders, geotechnicians, senior geotechnicians, core cutters, pad builders, heavy equipment operators, and camp management staff. Over 18% of our man-days were attributed to Tahltan workers.

What employment opportunities, now and in the future, are available to Tahltan members?

We prefer to bring on contractors over employees. However, we are always in need of geotechnicians, camp management, kitchen and cleaning staff, medics, expeditors, shuttlers, geologists, and more.

Why should Tahltan members want to work for you?

We treat everyone with respect. We have an ongoing commitment to improving safety in all areas of our work. We try to make camp life as enjoyable as possible.

Did you have any Tahltan contractors working for your company? What percentage of your contracting dollars went to Tahltan companies, including TNDC and their joint ventures?

Yes. We contracted Northern Labour Services, Longview Range, Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC), Iskut Band Council, Norad Logistics, Obsidian Camp Services, Northwest Fuels, Wild Timber Industries, and Rio Tinto Exploration Canada (RTEC). Over 18% of our budget was spent through Tahltan owned and partnered companies.

Do you have any outside contractors working for you? If so, who are they? Who were the primary contractors you utilized?

Yes. We used the following contractors (addresses included):

• Hardline Exploration, 7351 Cedar Rd, Smithers, BC V0J 2N2.

• Drilling: Driftwood Diamond Drilling: 2728 Pacific St, Smithers, BC V0J 2N0
