There are two branches of laser inspection. The first is the quality control of the microscopic features and any contamination affecting them. Our partners Coherent manufacture lasers that use scattering, absorption and ultrasonic techniques to determine and locate defects or contamination. For the second type of laser inspection, the determination of macroscopic shape, Coherent provides lasers using visible and deep UV wavelengths, achieving the highest accuracy.

InnoLas has had many years of experience working with the semiconductor industry and has set up and implemented almost a 1000 wafer marking and sorting systems. All InnoLas systems meet the common industrial standards for the production of wafers. InnoLas offers purpose-built wafer marking systems for 2“ to 200mm, 300mm and 450mm wafer sizes.
