Students will be able to describe seasonal changes, and interpret the effects of seasonal changes on living things.
Time
-begin with asking students what they know about seasons, and how many there are. -discuss the four seasons and the changes that take place when they change. -discuss how the changes influence people and their daily lives. -Read – “What Time Is It?” By Bobbie Kalman -discuss the reading.

2-5 min
-divide students into groups of 5 and give each group 4 paper bags that have labelled with the four seasons.
-Hand out paper bags
10 min
-instruct each group to use the magazines provided and use their learning about the 4 seasons to cut out examples of the seasons and put them into the appropriate bags. This could include: clothing, activities, games, holidays, celebrations, etc.
-Hand out large poster paper.
10 min
-have students use a ruler and pencil to divide their poster paper into 4 equal sections and label them the appropriate seasons.
-Check the groups to make sure the cut outs are on the correct section.
-students can begin to glue their cut outs on to their poster and into the correct sections of the poster. 15 min
-when the posters are finished have the groups present what they found and did to their posters. -while the students are presenting have other students use a digital camera to take photos of the group.
