MISSION REPORT TELTELE, ETHIOPIA SEPTEMBER, 2021

Dear Friends, From 18 to 29 August we had another two evangelistic campaigns in Ethiopia.

The first was deep in the south, near the Somali border, and the second a little further still, near the Kenyan border.

The first campaign was one of our smallest and weakest.

The pastors were disappointed and we were, too. It may have been because there were rebels nearby and the military had a strong presence there. We sometimes heard shots at night. A week later, after we had already left, we heard that the rebels wanted to capture the city and that about 40 of them had been shot dead by the army. All of this caused people to stay away and the evangelistic outreach was more like a church meeting.

Our second campaign was in Teltele, a place located 700 km (400 miles) from the capital, in the middle of the veld near the Kenyan border. Seven churches invited us and we held the first evangelistic outreach there. The people were hungry and open to God’s word. About 250 made a decision for Jesus for the first time and we experienced all kinds of healings. The pastors were excited and glad we had come.

Our old truck broke down again, as well as our bus. The repairs will cost several thousand euros. Spare parts have meanwhile been flown in from Germany and now a mechanic has to travel the 700 km (400 miles) from Addis Ababa to repair the truck. Otherwise it would need to be towed away.

We actually should have had our new vehicles by this time but everything got delayed and we are now hoping that we will have the new truck and Land Cruiser in our possession by the end of the month. Yesterday we found out that the customs duty for the Land Cruiser will be not $95,000 but a total of $120,000. The Land Cruiser itself only costs $40,000. These are all extra costs that we need to cover.

At the end of September we are off to Ethiopia for our next campaign. We are also planning the first evangelistic outreach in Nigeria, which is to take place in the first week of December. Here, too, we need a miracle to cover the costs.

I thank you with all of my heart for all your help, allowing us to go again and again. Without your support it would not be possible. There is nothing better than investing in people’s salvation, because saved people are the only thing we can take with us, and we will meet them in heaven.

He has been going to hospitals for 10 years, but the doctors cannot find the cause of his pain.

There has never been as much fear among the population as in the last 18 months. Fear and faith are spiritual forces! Fear is negative faith! Job said: “What I feared has come upon me; what I dreaded has happened to me,” Job 3:25. Jesus said: “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” Fear and faith are like seeds that produce a harvest. Fear and faith are like magnets that attract what you fear or believe! Fear comes when I hear the words of the devil. Faith comes when I hear God’s word. What are you listening to? What are you paying attention to? Listening to the news of this world makes you fearful! Many companies make a living from people’s fears, e.g. the pharmaceutical and insurance industries. The real virus of the last 18 months was fear. The virus lives on fear, and fear is contagious. A whole people died prematurely because they were fearful. Fear spread like a virus until everyone was infected, except Joshua and Caleb. It was fear, not the giants,

The technology is now available to be able to implement that kind of thing.

They started confessing their fears instead of their faith and they got exactly what they said. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” Proverbs 18:21. “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness!” the people said (Numbers 14:2). And God said: “I will do to you the very thing I heard you say: In this wilderness your bodies will fall,” verses 28–29. Only Joshua and Caleb had a different confession, a different spirit, a spirit of faith, and they went into the promised land, with a delay of 40 years.

The ten spies brought a message of fear and infected a whole nation.

Politicians have done the same. There was talk of millions of deaths, of crowded hospitals and not enough intensive care beds, of children infecting grandma and grandpa and being responsible for their death.

In retrospect it has to be said that none of that happened. Statistically speaking and in percentage terms, no more people died in 2020 than in any other year. There weren’t more deaths in Sweden, which did not enforce any hard lockdowns and where life continued as normal. What is the goal of this fearmongering?

Are they telling us the truth? The truth sets people free! Lies bring people into captivity! Do we all need to be vaccinated against a virus that 99.9% of the population survive unscathed? Is this about our health, or is it about profit, or is it about a new world order that wants to control everyone digitally?

It should not be fear that motivates us but faith. Anything that is not done out of faith is sin and is not pleasing to God. God wants to protect his children from all the evil attacks of the enemy.

“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you,” James 4:7. That means I need to resist fear, because fear is of the devil. We should be careful, but not fearful.

“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty,” Proverbs 22:3. Fear and lack of knowledge cause us to fall. God

Don’t allow yourself to be motivated by fear. Ask yourself, for example: Is the vaccine good for me? Is it safe? Will it protect me? Do I need it? What does it do? Everyone should have the freedom to decide for themselves, without being put under pressure or forced into it. In Israel 80% of the population are vaccinated and they are experiencing an outbreak of the pandemic, rising death rates and many vaccinated people are in hospital. Among the Palestinians, 8% are vaccinated and there is nothing there. In Germany, about 2500 people die every day. In August, about 77,000 people died in Germany and according to the statistics 80 of them died of corona. That means 0.1% died of corona. The statistics do not show a pandemic! Are we being given the runaround?

Strengthen your faith by meditating on God’s word. Depend above all on the Lord and his word, and do whatever he tells you to. God’s word keeps you alive! We have a covenant of healing through the blood of Jesus. This guarantees me my health. Ultimately, my help does not come from people or from a vaccine, but from God! God uses people and medicine to help us. But people and medicine can also misuse us and everyone needs to decide before God what they should do. This freedom is a fundamental right of every human being!
