MISSION REPORT GIRJA & WONDO-KELLA, ETHIOPIA FEBRUARY, 2022

Dear friends!

In the last week of January and first week of February we had our first two evangelistic outreaches this year. The first place was very remote and it took our truck three hours to cover the last 50 km (30 miles). The place was called Girja and the people were very, very open for the word of God. They drank it in like a dry sponge soaking up water. I was the first white person who had preached the gospel there and it was the first public evangelistic campaign they had conducted there.

The meetings were very blessed and the Holy Spirit touched people’s hearts. We can do nothing without the Holy Spirit. He convinces people of the truth and he confirms the preached word with accompanying signs and wonders. He is still filling people with his power today like back then at Pentecost. The Holy Spirit makes God’s word in us real and wherever Jesus is lifted high, he shows himself to us as the Risen and Present One who is still the same today and still doing the same things.

We got to experience all that in Girja. People were born again, the sick were healed and many were baptized in the Holy Spirit.

VFrom there we travelled on to Wondo-Kella. Here we started out small, but more and more people came in the course of the week and on Sunday we had a glorious final meeting.

The people and leaders were excited we had come. It is hard to convey it in words, you have to experience it. They told us they had received a prophecy that God would send a white preacher who would light a “fire”. That, they said, had now been fulfilled. We are God’s fire starters, so to speak. Jesus is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and with fire. This earthly treasure, the glory of God, the fire of God, we carry inside us (2 Corinthians 4:7). The gospel is heavenly fire and sets hearts on fire.

In the first two weeks of March we have the next two campaigns. In the meantime we have also received our new truck. It took eleven months in total before we finally got it.

With it we are equipped to go to areas that we had not been able to reach before.

In April we were supposed to have the next evangelistic campaign in Nigeria. Unfortunately, we have to postpone it as we do not yet have the necessary funds. One evangelistic campaign in Nigeria costs us around $50,000.

We are living in the most exciting times in the history of the world. Jesus is coming back for our generation. No one can stop his return. Jesus says we should work as long as we have time, for the night is coming when no one can do anything anymore. As long as you are alive and can still do something for Jesus, do it. Life is over so quickly. Make the most of your time and use every opportunity to give people the good news.

Jesus will reward you in heaven.

HEALING TESTIMONIES GIRJA & WONDO-KELLA, ETHIOPIA

She had not been able to feed her child until now because of constant pain in both breasts. Now she is healed.

She had had a large goitre for years and therefore had problems swallowing. The goitre has almost completely disappeared and she can swallow without difficulty.

One eye had been almost blind for one year.

Now she can see again.

One eye was blind and one ear was deaf.

Both are healed.

He had been almost deaf for ten years. Now he can hear clearly.

For six years she had been short-sighted.

Now she can see normally.

Healed of epilepsy.

IN MY NAME! „Ask whatever you desire and it shall be done for you“ John 15:7 „Truly, truly I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you… Ask and you will receive that your joy may be full.” John 16:23,24 „Ask and it will be given to you…for everyone who asks, receives.“ Luke 11:9,10 „Ask in faith, without wavering…let not that man think that he will receive anything from the Lord.” James 1:6-7 „Whatever things you desire when you pray, believe that you have received it and you will have it “ Mark 11:14 „This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. So, if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have whatever we asked of Him. “ 1.John 5:14,15 „Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, then we have confidence before God. And whatever we ask, we will receive from Him…“ 1.John 3:21,22 1. Jesus tells us to ask. He has given us a blank cheque, so to speak. We can ask for anything. He has guaranteed to obtain it for us. He gave us his name, and when we pray, it is as if Jesus were praying. We take up his position. And whatever we pray for on earth, he takes it up and represents us in heaven before the Father, and the Father gives us what we have asked for. The enemy, however, wants to convince us that our requests were not according to the will of God. But Jesus said we can ask whatever we wish and it will happen. If you love Jesus, you won’t want anything that is opposed to the will of God. And if you do, you will not have any faith that God has answered your prayer because your heart is not in agreement with the prayer. The faith for it is lacking. But most people fail not because they ask for something wrong but because they do not ask in faith.

2. Jesus says we should believe that we have received what we asked for before we can see, feel and grasp it, and then we will receive it. Here is where most people fall down. How can I believe that I have something before I have received it?

So I am to believe that I am healed before I have the healing. It sounds like a contradiction. I am to

believe that I have the money before it is in my account. Faith receives with the heart, not with the wallet or the body. God transfers the healing from his spirit into my spirit, for it is with the heart that we receive and believe. God works from the inside out. Faith begins in the heart and is like a seed that grows until the harvest is there. It is a process. Every farmer knows that and is patient until the harvest is ripe. Jesus said we are to have faith like a seed. Every seed produces a harvest, and our faith produces the healing, the money or whatever we have asked for. Put fertilizer on your faith, water your faith and let it grow until the harvest time.

3. When the harvest is there, you will know it. You have now moved from believing to seeing. You have the answer no longer in faith but rather it has become visible. Your body is healed, the money is there, or whatever you asked for. A miracle is when something happens immediately. A healing can take some time, but if I have received my healing in faith, I hold onto it until I reach the point of seeing. Many would like to first see the answer and then believe they have received. But Jesus tells us that we should first believe that we have received the answer, and then we will see it.

On the first day Daniel started praying, God answered his prayer, but an evil spirit held the answer back and God sent an angel with the answer (Daniel 10:12). If we give up, our angels are unemployed. As long as we hold on in faith, angels work for us and bring us the answer. God wants to do much more than we ask and understand. He wants to far exceed our greatest requests, our most incredible dreams and our wildest imaginations – if we do not doubt his power. Just believe! What shall I believe? Believe that in the secret place, in your heart, you received the answer like a seed when you prayed and that the faith in your heart is now incubating what you prayed for.
