Toogood make timeless works of unconventional design. Toogood furniture is bold and sculptural, but always designed for everyday use.
The studio was founded by Faye Toogood in 2008. Faye has an education in Art History, and a background as Interiors Editor at The World of Interiors.

Refusing categorisation, Toogood has become one of the most exciting and prominent names in contemporary design.
MATERIALS AND PROCESS
At the heart of the studio is a restless spirit of experimentation, and a deep-seated respect for materials. These two pillars of creativity and craft can be found in each piece, from the iconically plump Roly-Poly in glowing raw fibreglass, to the hardy Cobble collection finished in a laboratory-grade ceramic glaze.

Gummy is a family of soft, sculptural seating. Fully upholstered using traditional techniques and all natural materials.
The Gummy Chair is a fully upholstered chair with generous, anthropomorphic proportions.
Gummy is offered in a range of fabrics including Pierre Frey’s chunky wool bouclé “Opio”, long-haired alpacca “Yeti’ and Yarn Collective’s wool bouclé.

Palette is a family of curving, playful tables showcasing local artisan woodwork. Entirely made in Britain using natural and sustainable timber.
The Palette coffee table is formed from rounded, intersecting shapes. The organic contour of the table’s top is inspired by the shape of an artist’s paint palette.

The Roly Poly family embraces a world of rounded edges and soft lines. Developed from clay maquettes, the pieces are crafted from sleek fibreglass – conventionally employed to craft boat hulls – to harness its unique tensile strength and sculptural qualities.
