Welcome to the 2021 edition of the M & J Farms/Glasman Farms Annual Bull Sale. Last year at this time we had no way of knowing that the world would be a changed place in a matter of months. I’m sure we’ve all had experiences with loss of some degree of everything we took for granted in the past. The way things were ‘always done’ plus habits and privileges may never be the same again. For all of us in agriculture and specifically the beef business, things didn’t change too much on the production side. Cattle need to be fed and cared for no matter what worldly circumstances. The beef industry fits in the chain of food production as the most sought after protein source which is indeed enviable and also inherently necessary. The cattle business marches on and we accept our part as breeders and suppliers of good solid working bulls. These age advantaged coming two-year-old bulls are designed and developed on a ‘no frills’ basis...no creep, summer grazed followed with a TMR silage based development ration. Our offering is one of our most even groups to date providing a variety of opportunities to add to your herd bull battery. Matt and Leanne’s Black Angus group offer some new genetics with feature herd bull prospects and calving ease specialists. Our family is busy and growing. Matt and Leanne added a boy Harlan Maverick to the grandchildren roster at the end of October, a brother for Sarayah and Aleah. Jared and Chelsey are expecting a new addition to their family early February with McCoy looking forward to being a big brother.

This year we have made some changes to our bull sale. With the family’s new arrivals and limited socialization allowed we have pushed our sale date back and gone to an all online format with a live auction. The online live auction will be broadcast by DLMS on Sunday afternoon February 28th starting at 2 PM. The bulls have been pictured and videoed for your online viewing. Our bull pens here on the farm are always available for a walk through. Originally we planned on a designated open house day to look over the bulls but have since decided that every day will be an ‘open house’ until Sunday, February 28th. We extend an invitation to give us a call to plan your visit to the farm to view the bulls. Jared and Matthew know the bulls well and would be happy to discuss your needs. We and the T Bar C staff can assist and guide you with your bull selection and purchasing, whether it be online or on the phone. As always we stand by our sight unseen guarantee, if you aren’t satisfied with the purchase at delivery or pickup, you don’t own him. Please feel free to call us at M & J or Glasman Farms if we can help in anyway with your herd bull selections.

Welcome to the 2021 bull sale presented by M & J Farms and Glasman Farms, at the farm, Russell, Manitoba. Due to the COVID conditions, the annual auction has been changed to an Online Bull Sale with a live closeout on Sunday, February 28, 2021. The change does not affect this great group of two-year-olds which they offer each spring. The Glasman family have been suppliers of high-quality herd improvers for decades and continue to do so. This event offers one of the largest offerings of two-year-old bulls each spring. These bulls are grass run through the spring and summer and brought in, in the fall, and supplemented with a high roughage ration to get them ready for sale season. Summer grazing and high roughage ration insures you a limber, sound breeding bull ready to cover lots of females in any type of environment. 60 bulls are offered… Red and Black Simmental, Angus and Sim/Angus and a few blazes make up this powerful offering. The bulls are rugged, thick topped, with lots of hair and testicle and selected from a large, highly maternal cow herd base. With each mating at Glasman and M & J Farms, calving ease is on the front burner. As you go through your selections, keep in mind that you will keep their daughters in your replacement pastures. The cattle industry marketplace is showing much promise as inventories in Canada are at their lowest in the past fifteen years. Now is the time to add fresh genetics into your breeding pastures. Plan to make M&J/Glasman one of your shopping stops. They are conveniently located just outside Russell, Manitoba on the Yellowhead Highway. Stop by anytime prior for a preview… then plan to be online on February 28th. Feel free to call any of the folks at M&J or Glasman Farms to discuss the bulls selling and which ones will suit your breeding intentions… they will be pleased to help. During these times, feel free to call anyone on our T Bar C team to discuss or purchase any of the cattle offered. We have graded each individual and will be pleased to assist in a professional and confidential manner.
