When the 2008 National Champion “Nita 1112R” was mated to the new comer “Tank 9W” last year, it was the most anticipated calf to be born this year at Medonte. 1112R worked to everything she has been bred to; with Northeastern she gave us a tremendous female 107T, mother of Lot 2. When mated to Agribition Champion “Heat” she produced “Umpire,” who claimed the title of National Champion Bull in 2009 and the next year had a full brother named “Warranty” that was sold to Brost Land & Cattle and James W. Rummerfield. It was indeed a testament to the genetic strength of this cow when she gave birth to “Youngblood.” He has exceeded our wildest expectations; this calf is truly outstanding. He has length, width, pigmentation, eye appeal and over-all power. Tank 9W known as “Lil Karl” has over achieved with his first calf crop. Youngblood continues to develop at an amazing rate.
