Building Language at School and at Home

Students have been working hard on building language in all their lessons! Our wonderful teachers give extra attention to care for the children’s entire bank of languages while they are learning new and exciting information in math, science, reading, and all other subjects

Our language-building approach at SZPAB is to use best practices in language development by encouraging multilingualism. This is most evident in the connections between our two main languages in the school: Arabic and English

You can see this in lessons by children acting out vocabulary words from their reading and adding in hand movements for more and less in their math lessons to the shared vocabulary mats with the Arabic and English team working together to introduce vocabulary in both languages
