How to Sign Up for an ECA

Please follow these steps carefully to sign your child up for their chosen ECA

Step 1: Choose your child’s grade level from the table of contents

Step 2: Read the different ECAs available for that grade level

Step 3: Scan the QR code and enter your child’s details to sign them up to their chosen ECA.

This ECA is the perfect place for students to burn off energy, have fun and learn about healthy living. We offer a variety of activities, including strength building, HIIT workouts, duathlon, functional fitness and an introduction to CrossFit.

Join our Mindfulness Club and discover how to stay calm, have fun, and make great friends while learning cool tricks to relax your mind and body!

"عادبإو ثرإ" (Irth wa Ibdā‘)

Week

1-2:

2:45pm-3:30pm

During this ECA, students will delve into Emirati cultural heritage through the lens of music and music production. They will explore traditional Emirati music, instruments, and rhythms while learning modern digital music production techniques. The program will encourage students to blend traditional sounds with innovative approaches, creating digital music projects that honor the rich musical heritage of the UAE.

Introduction to the traditional music of the UAE. Students will learn about the unique instruments used in Emirati music. Students will begin to understand the cultural significance of music in Emirati society and how it reflects local heritage.

Week 3-4:

Students will explore music production software and learn how to recreate traditional Emirati music using digital tools. They will be introduced to sound recording, sampling, and editing techniques, combining the sounds of traditional instruments with modern production techniques to create their own compositions.

Week

5-6:

In this phase, students will develop their own music tracks, fusing traditional Emirati sounds with contemporary music styles. They will experiment with different production techniques, learning how to layer and arrange sounds to create a cohesive piece of music that reflects the fusion of culture and innovation.

Week 7-8:

Students will refine their music projects, focusing on the intricacies of sound mixing and mastering. They will receive feedback on their compositions and learn advanced production techniques to enhance their tracks. Emphasis will be placed on creating a professional-sounding final product while staying true to the cultural heritage they are representing.

9-10:

The final weeks will involve completing and presenting your music project. Students will showcase their work in a final presentation, discussing the fusion of traditional Emirati sounds with modern music production techniques. Students can also participate in a music performance or exhibition, highlighting their musical creativity and understanding of Emirati heritage.

During this ECA, students will delve into Emirati cultural heritage through the lens of music and music production. They will explore traditional Emirati music, instruments, and rhythms while learning modern digital music production techniques. The program will encourage students to blend traditional sounds with innovative approaches, creating digital music projects that honor the rich musical heritage of the UAE.

Introduction to the traditional music of the UAE. Students will learn about the unique instruments used in Emirati music. Students will begin to understand the cultural significance of music in Emirati society and how it reflects local heritage.

Week 3-4:

Students will explore music production software and learn how to recreate traditional Emirati music using digital tools. They will be introduced to sound recording, sampling, and editing techniques, combining the sounds of traditional instruments with modern production techniques to create their own compositions.
