The adaptive reuse project is located in Tai Mei Tuk, aim to transform the existing Youth Hostel into a visitor center. The process focuses on enhancing the public entrance, and adding new landscape features, creating a unique spatial experience. Additionally, a small station for biomass energy generation will be installed to improve sustainability.
Subtract the existing wall and let circulation flow more fluidlying between boundaries.
Subtract the middle volume to make a second entrance that can tolerant large numbers of visitors.
Add platforms to match with the sloped road and link the roads to the building
Add a volume connecting two blocks to make an outstanding entrance statement.
Subtract half of the hostel block for the roof garden of toilet.
Increase height for exhibition and event space. Add a volume for lift.
By using existing sewage and piping system, a power energy generation is located underneath the toilet, collecting the feaces of the users. 500g could generation about 0.5kWvh of electricity and used the fertilizer the landscape garden in the visitor center.

A site visit to Tai Yuen village on Lammas Island reveals a new residential housing project that replaces the existing structures. The design team explored forms and materials to generate a unique spatial quality, resulting in an innovative reinterpretation of the space.

The exhibition design project is a group work focuses on showcasing the intangible cultural heritage of the bamboo theatre. Through different zones, the craftsmanship and beauty of the theatre are celebrated. The exhibition’s structure represents the rapid construction and deconstruction of the theatre, with the materiality chosen in consideration of the material life cycle. The project aims to promote and preserve this unique cultural heritage for future generations.

The urban design project is a group work for Tsim Sha Tsui Garden of Stars involves a site analysis to reimagine the public program by identifying public characteristics of the past and envisioning a new future. The design approach is a combination of vertical and holistic thinking, and the visioning process considers sociability, connectivity, sustainability, and inclusivity.
