CONTOUR
Using felt-tipped pen and conte-crayon to draw out the contour of sculptural pieces. Forms and spaces are explored and exp ressed through line weights and shadows.

CONTOUR
Using conte-crayon to explore shapes and forms on figures.
The first drawing mainly depict the human structure starting with an organizing shape, and the second drawing uses the same technique for structural contour.

PERSPECTIVES
In these drawings, construction techniques are generated to create accurate perspectives. Spaces are projected using line weights and shadowing.

DRAWING SPACE
Using conte-crayon and charcoal, depth of spaces are represented through these drawings.
The drawings of dinasour bones depict spaces by darkening and pushing back the backgrounds.

DRAWING SPACE
Using charcoal, the slope of the topography, trees, and water are illustrated. Contour and depth of spaces are also represented in the drawings.

MUTATION
Using photoshop to create spatial affect and trajectory.
Starting with satellite images, the three landscapes are created through a series of process of expand, alter, mutate, and repeat.
The collage uses the same tools to create a spatial experience of stairs.

COLOR / VECTOR
Through examination of color and shape relativity, a series of stamped decorative tiles is presented.
The element of the tile’s shape is identified within CFA front niches. The final composition is created using tiling, repeating, and transforming. And the montage is generated using blend tool to present a sense of movement and depth.

REVOLVING CHAIR
A chair from the Carnegie Mellon Museum of Art is modeled and examined.
An 3D interior volume is generated and is stylized within photoshop.

LINE RENDERING
This project involved examination of line weights and direction. An interior from Ex to In designed by Steven Holl is is rendered using lines, creating a sense of depth, space, and composition.

PARKLET
In this project, human scale, material dimension, and fabrication process is explored.
An Enzo Mari chair is fabricated, then a series of scaled drawings is created in axonometric projection of the chair.
After the exploration of abstraction and montaging of the chair, a parklet is design and a series of drawings is presented.
In my design, I incorporated a wave-like structure, and it enable people to do multiple gestures. For the parklet, instead of putting in tables and other utilities, the structure itself plays the role of tables and walls along with the movement. For more, the change of elevation separate the parklet into different zones, and also this structure gives people a sense of safety as it blocks between people and cars.
The collage reprents how the Caliban bookstore brings people to the old times, which creates a constrast between present and past.

SUBMERGE
In this project, an architectural narrative is generated upon a set of topography, and create a special architectural experience working with the environment.
Theme: SUBMERGE
Site: a rural area in Tokyo, Japan
Time period: late August
My design purpose is to provide a place for people to chill, rest, and cool off during the hot summer, and to foster a more fluid interaction between visitors and the natural surroundings. Regarding the structure organization, it mainly emphasizes an exploration of spaces and movement.
