The start of the school year is always an exciting time: meeting old friends, making new ones and facing new challenges, in class and out of it. This year we have put together a list of extracurricular activities which are exciting and challenging, each in its own way.

So, it is time to take a look at the options in this brochure and then decide where you will throw in your hat! Hint: don't take the e way...that does not get y much satisfaction! Yours

Preparation for First Holy Communion and for Confirmation Cathechism

Once again we shall be offering religious instruction leading up to First Holy Communion and Confirmation

For First Holy Communion

A total of 22 lessons in preparation for First Holy Communion will be held by the college and will start on the 3rd of October 2022.. Lessons will be held once a week.

For Confirmation

Lessons will be held once a week 22 Lessons startingfrom the week of the 3rd of October 2022 Online resources will be made available to the students by the respective teachers

Communion Classes application

Once again this October the boys will have the option to attend Catechism Lessons (after school) in preparation for the Sacrament of Holy Communion The lessons will be held at school once a week Lessons will start at 2 pm till 3 pm Boys who will use the school vans (at 3 pm) with the older boys or who will stay on for extra curricular activities, need to indicate this clearly to the teacher: Ms Caruana as soon as school starts

A total of 22 sessions will be offered between October and May The teacher will be providing the students with a book and notes

The fee for the catechism course for all 22 Lessons is €80 and another 10 Euros for the book Lessons will start from the week of the 3rd of October 2022

Students who follow the Holy Communion Programme (Year 2 students), will also be contacted later in 2023 with the Holy Communion Package This will include some extra lessons, rehearsals and everything needed for the boys to receive their Holy Communion at College later in May 2023 The Teacher will take attendance

Application form and fee are to be sent by Monday 26th September (by hand at school or by post and indicating: Attn: Catechism on the front of the Envelope) A minimum of 7 students is required to open the Class Please send exact payment or you can pay by Bank Transfer directly to the school with a Transcation Narrative indicating: Name of the Son and the word Catechism (a screenshot of the transaction must be sent via email to: sabela@stedwards edu mt)

Confirmation Classes application

Lessons for Confirmation will be held online once a week on different days. Lessons will start at 5pm till 6pm. A total of 22 sessions will be offered between October and May. The teacher will be setting up the Ms Teams for the Catechism Group once registrations have been finalised. The teacher will also indicate the dates per term

Students who follow the last year of Catechism, and who are to receive Confirmation (Year 7 students), will be contacted later in 2023 Confirmation is not done at College but at the chapel of Tal Virtu’ in Rabat later in May early June

Gymnathlon is a specialized training program for children between the ages of 2 5 9 focused on the development of the athletic-gymnastic skills of the children and team play. Every Gymnathlon training lesson is planned very precisely and every child has a specific training plan to follow

GYMNATHLON BABY course for children aged 2,5 4 years and their parents Start 7th October The course is focused on creating positive experiences together with their first organized exercises The varied composition of fast paced simple exercises and games uses a variety of tools to achieve the maximum experience. During the course, children will learn 10 basic movement skills

GYMNATHLON JUNIOR - Children aged 4-6 years - sta 5th October

During the Gymnathlon course, the children will practice 12 key physical skills and once the practice of individua skills is completed, children will receive a sticker on thei training plan.

GYMNATHLON SPORTS MIX Children aged 6 9 years start 5th October
