FUSION HOTEL AND ARTS
This boutique hotel, located in Asheville, North Carolina, features spaces for artist residencies, art exhibits, and community gatherings. Fusion allows for the blending between visitors, art, and artists to support the local community and creative exploration. This concept and the conceptual thinking was inspired directly by art forms and museums. By viewing the building as a museum and each space within it as art pieces that all come together to form a cohesive whole, the space was designed to be a lively and diverse space for the local art community.
In order to give the artists a space they can personalize and create in based on their needs, a neutral finish palette was used in the art studios. This allows their work to stand out and be the focal point of the space throughout their creative process. The same finishes are used in the exhibit space to highlight the completed artwork. To keep the art spaces dynamic with a neutral palette, natural textures were layered and design features like custom display shelves, ceiling accents, and large windows that feature the high-spirited environment that surrounds the buildings site were utilized.

Located in Austin, Texas, across from Zilker Botanical Garden and other local parks, Bluebonnet Meadow is heavily influenced by native plants, flowers, and wildlife in the area. With the core values of access to nature, connection, comfort, and wellness Bluebonnet Meadow offers residents a holistic approach to assisted living. This entails considering every aspect of residents lives, including physical and mental health, social needs, hobbies, and activities that exist outside the healthcare sector of assisted living. These goals are met through design by implementing community spaces, easy access to nature, spaces for relaxation, and sense of homeyness.

For many, the kitchen is the center of the home, and food is a way to connect with loved ones. Because of this, the facility includes a large dining room, resident kitchen, and outdoor patio with space for vegetable gardening. The dining room has a variety of seating choices to accommodate both large gatherings and smaller more private dining. A resident kitchen provides residents the opportunity for independence and connection by being able to prepare a meal for themselves or loved ones.
VOGUE SATELLITE OFFICE · SPRING 2022
Vogue is known for pushing the boundaries of style and fashion, while still remaining true to itself. These values can be summed up as authentically daring. This adventurous and daring spirit is reflected in and encouraged by a newly designed satellite office space in San Fransisco, California. Vivid colors and lively patterns create an environment that fosters creativity and collaboration. Similar to the fashion world, office spaces and needs are always changing, making flexibility a top priority. Vogue’s new hybrid office supports workers of many professions with a mix of collaborative and focus spaces that recognize the many types of work that go into creating Vogue magazine.
The vibrant finishes and group seating in the social and collaborative spaces reflect Vogue’s authentically daring spirit and encourage energetic and dynamic interactions between workers. In the focus and work areas a toned-down palette, relying on small patterns and textures is utilized. Combined with personal workstations and small touchdown spaces, workers are provided space for heads-down work and quick one-on-one meetings.
