SYCAMORE SCHOOLS NAMED #10 BEST SCHOOL DISTRICT IN OHIO Sycamore Community Schools has been recognized as one of the best public school districts in the state of Ohio. Data analysis website Niche released its list of the top school districts in Ohio for the 2019-2020 school year. They named Sycamore Schools as the #5 district in the Cincinnati area and #10 in the state of Ohio. Furthermore, Sycamore Schools was #122 in America. To get this ranking, Niche examined statistics from each school district, including state test scores, college readiness, SAT/ACT scores and teacher quality. Academics had the greatest weight in the ranking, accounting for 50% of the total overall grade for each district. The teachers grade, which included such metrics as teacher salary, state test results and survey responses from teachers, had the second greatest weight with 15% of a district’s overall grade. Student life data for Niche’s report was compiled from the U.S. Department of Education, as well as data and rankings collected from Niche users. Niche also released its list of best schools by grade level. Maple Dale Elementary was named the #2 Best Elementary School in the Cincinnati area, Symmes Elementary #3, Montgomery Elementary was named #4, and Blue Ash Elementary was named #11. E.H. Greene Intermediate was named the #2 Best Middle School in Cincinnati, while Sycamore Junior High was ranked #7. Sycamore High School was named the #5 Best High School in Cincinnati. All seven schools were ranked in the top 35 Best Schools in Ohio.
Montgomery Elementary was named the #4 Best Elementary School in Ohio.
