Marion plans fall, holiday events

Friday, October 27 50th anniversary showing of “The Exorcist” at the Lincoln Theatre, admission $5

Saturday, October 28 – “Halloween Madness” downtown “Trunk or Treat” event, 11am-1pm. Businesses, community groups, and churches may set up on Broad Street for free – application available by emailing kheath@marionva.org.

– Halloween cartoons and costume contest following the Trunk or Treat event at the historic Lincoln Theatre, 1:30pm. Admission is FREE!

– “Dread Through the Decades” Film Festival, featuring classic horror films “Nosferatu”, “The Blood of a Poet”, “Cat People”, “The Curse of Frankenstein”, “Night Tide”, and “Suspiria” starting at 3pm – admission is FREE!

Saturdays Thanksgiving through Christmas – “Marion Thanksgiving Market (11/18) and Christmas Markets” (Saturdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas) at the Farmers Market 9amnoon. Email lvanover@ marionva.org for application or information.

“New Years Eve Eve” show featuring legendary Molly Hatchet, 7:30pm, The Lincoln Theatre will be trick or treating at downtown businesses from 1 to 5 p.m. Also from 1 to 5 p.m. will be zombie laser tag hunt.

Petals Wine Bar will host live music from noon to 2 p.m. and a tarot card reading from 4 to 8 p.m.

Wytheville Museum will host tours and candy from 3 to 5 p.m. From 3 to 7 p.m. the Rock House will feature a 19th century haunted wake.
