An autumn day and the first winter night in the high mountains, it is hunting season. Chamois, birds of prey, snow hares and three men make their tracks between the high sky and the wild landscape. Swathes of mist blur the boundaries between dream, imagination and reality.

CHARLOTTE WALTERT

* 1977. Charlotte Waltert has a Bachelor in Animation from the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU). Her graduation film LITTLE BROTHER WINTER (2011) screened at numerous international festivals. She works as an independent animator.

ALVARO SCHOECK

* 1975. Alvaro Schoeck has a degree in Music Theatre Directing from the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. Since 2010 freelance director at various theatres, currently at the Dortmund Opera.

2 Since the death of the painter Pavel, Hanna, his nineteen-year-old granddaughter, has been frantically searching for a painting that he had dedicated to her. A young boy of eleven interferes in her quest and pushes Hanna to come out of the grief in which she had wrapped herself.

JULIETTA KORBEL * 1996 in Germany. Julietta Korbel is a filmmaker of Swiss and Slovakian origin. She graduated with a Bachelor in Cinema from the École Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ECAL) in 2019. Her previous short, STILL WORKING (2019), was selected in several festi vals including Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand and Palm Springs and won the Swiss Film Award for Best Graduation Film in 2020.

Seventy-two-year-old Buppah lives behind closed blinds in Florida. Even after fifty-four years in America, the scars of her harsh upbringing on the streets of Bangkok have not healed. When Buppah is diagnosed with Parkinson’s, she suddenly finds herself lost in the exhausting cycle of medication. Her “sunshine state” retirement is now turning into a chronic depression, while her Buddhist faith is letting her believe that she is paying for the sins of her past life.

* 1994. Lasse Linder has a Bachelor in Film from the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU). His diploma film, ALL CATS ARE GREY IN THE DARK (2019), won Best Short Film at both TIFF and Festival dei Popoli as well as the European Film Award for Best Short Film in 2020.

* 1997. Alexandra Rüegg has a Bachelor in Trends & Identity from Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). She works as an art director for film, graphic design and fashion.

She graduated with a Bachelor in Animation from the Lucerne School of Art and Design (HSLU), commencing her Master’s in Animation in 2018. Her short LES SOEURS DE COEUR (2012) screened at numerous festivals, including Lisbon, Trieste and Fantoche in Baden.
