In the midst of Egypt's worst political time, a young filmmaker returns home, to Cairo, for the first time since the start of the revolution. Be fore leaving Switzerland, his parents warn him that they are receiving death threats as a result of their work amongst Christian communities. For two weeks, a son watches his parents face a situation that will shake their faith and ques tion their presence in their own country.

His award-winning short film DISCIPLINE (2014) premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014 and has been selected for more than 100 festivals since. THE VALLEY OF SALT is Saber's first feature film.
