Studio Apartment

Reimagining a 600 sq ft. studio apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra district. This design uses a minimal and simple approach, characterized by a clean, uncluttered aesthetic and a restrained palette of materials. The use of wood is prominent in both the furniture and flooring, providing warmth and a natural, calming feel.

The minimal color scheme revolves around soft neutrals, with white walls and light wood accents that help to create a sense of spaciousness despite the apartment’s compact size.

In line with the minimalist philosophy, the furnishings are streamlined and functional, such as the slim-line sofa, the bar counter with stools, compact working table along with storage etc. These choices optimize the available space, contributing to a sense of openness. The large window and curtains add to this, ensuring natural light enhances the airy ambiance of the space.

WORKSPACE

The workspace is sleek and practical, with a floating wooden desk seamlessly integrated into the shelving unit. The rounded edges of the desk, combined with its light wood material, complement the overall minimalist theme. The terrazzo flooring in this section adds a subtle yet playful texture to the space, balancing the warm tones of the wood. The specks in the terrazzo complement the neutral tones of the walls and furniture while giving the room an understated sense of sophistication.

BATHROOM

The bathroom design reflects the minimalist aesthetic of the studio apartment, featuring a balance of clean lines and warm textures. The use of terrazzo tiles on one wall adds visual interest.

The floating vanity with its integrated ceramic vessel sink enhances the clean, modern look, offering practical storage underneath while keeping the floor space uncluttered. The light wood and white cabinetry complement the rest of the apartment’s material palette, reinforcing the unity of the design.

NMC Park

Pocket spaces like the NMC Park are of great importance to the urban community living around it as it gives them access to nature and strengthens the local character. These spaces should be inviting and safe. This site was chosen in order to redesign and revitalize the neglected and declining areas. The existing site conditions do not fully cater to all the age groups and can be greatly improved.

The site can be redesigned to be a more welcoming and aesthetic space which provides the users a space for rest and relaxation.

SITE CONDITIONS

This 1.7 acres site is surrounded by residential and commercial area. Residential being the majority. The site is situated around 900m away from the SH255 and the Metro line.

Noise comes from the vehicular traffic and pedestrian movement. Temporary noise-construction (East). Noise levels are not high as to take design considerations.

It is mostly flat with contours ranging only from 321m - 319.5m. The drainage of site is towards North.

Corporate Bank

This interior design project for a corporate bank in Nagpur focuses on creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment tailored to the bank’s operational needs. The design brief necessitated the incorporation of essential elements such as workstations, meeting rooms, private offices for managers and assistant managers, teller counters, and secure spaces for ATM installations.

In response, the design embraces a minimalist approach, characterized by clean lines, an open floor plan, and the strategic use of accent colors to enhance spatial dynamics. The office layout is optimized for workflow efficiency, with zones carefully delineated to facilitate seamless movement and interaction among staff and clients.
