REMAPPING E UCATI N Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks to “provide a high-quality public education for every child, in every neighborhood, that prepares each for success in college, career, and civic life.” What if?... each Chicago Public School was connected to a neighborhood node where students and teachers could directly engage in the regeneration of their neighborhood? Using SWF’s Seeding The Future program as a model, CPS students would learn while doing -- engaging in carpentry, civic arts, agriculture, landscaping, and critical dialogues alongside people across generations and life experiences.
