I would definitely say between the two of them and the passion that I’ve cultivated over the years, I’ve definitely got design running through these veins.
I would say just getting up the courage to share with my family, friends, and community that I was taking this huge leap of faith. Anytime you do something unconventional, you really open yourself up to lots of criticism - and oh the commentary!
WHERE AND HOW DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION? I’m very inspired by classic American heritage, our history, and the hard-working, dedicated people that made our country what it is today. I’d say inspiration is everywhere, but for the most part, classic style, timeless beauty and quality WHAT WAS YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE construction has always been the heartbeat of WHEN LAUNCHING K.SLADEMADE? K.slademade. WHY HANDBAGS? I‘ve always had a thing for leather handbags. Specifically, a bag that has simple lines and functions well - not to mention, quality construction and timeless design. That’s hard to find!
