Social Media Audit of Bella’s Miracle Shop
PART A, SECTION 1: THE ORGANIZATION
This paper is an audit of the existing social media of a local crystal store called Bella’s Miracle Shop. We will look at both implicit and explicit views of the business to analyze it and provide suggestions in goals to help them improve and grow their social media presence.
Bella’s Miracle shop is a small, local business based in Surrey, British Columbia. The business operates 2 locations: Happy People and Bella’s Miracle Shop White in White Rock. The shops sell a variety of items such as boho clothing, books, home décor, jewellery, incense, tarot cards, and most of all, stones. The shops are most known for their “metaphysical” stones and crystals and attracts those in touch with their spirituality. The business does not have a mission, vision, or values statement written anywhere on their social media sites. Therefore, we will attempt to assess this by looking at their social media posts and the way the business presents itself physically. Bella’s miracle shop has both Instagram and Facebook accounts. On Instagram, occasionally, the business will post something, usually a TikTok video about spirituality. Walking into the shop, you’d sense a somewhat religious energy. The women working there are clearly spiritual and this is obvious from the way they are dressed and their calm demeanor as well as the music and incense smell in the air. Also, from incorporating words like “miracle”, “metaphysical”, “spiritual”, and “healing” in their online posts, it’s clear that the business values spiritual development, healing, and the belief in magic.
At first glance, the organization’s Instagram feed looks like it has an endless amount of photos. There is a ton of content on there, mostly photos of products. There’s a lot of mixed colours and no specific pattern. A word to describe the overall theme is tacky. Facebook is the same, but not as
