Congratulations on purchasing a Swampfox optic equipped with the Dragoon MOA reticle; optimized for close to long range engagements with a 30 MOA tree and 26 MOA outer diameter horseshoe. Dragoon MOA is compatible with any caliber, giving the user plenty of information for holds and shot correction with even the most popular and heavy hitting rounds.
One of the drawback of using a second focal plane reticle is having inconsistent holds at each magnification range; this is not the case with the Dragoon MOA reticle. This optic is equipped with a First Focal Plane reticle meaning all of the listed subtensions of the reticle stay true at all levels of magnification. This is a crucial component for users in high stress situations as they do not need to memorize their hold for each magnification level.
Based on Minute of Angle (MOA) subtensions, the Dragoon MOA reticle is calibrated using angular measurements that are derived from degrees and minutes. These angular measurements are then used to estimate range and correct for bullet-drop in riflescopes, with 1 MOA corresponding to 1.05 inches for every 100 yards, or 29.1mm.
50 YARDS 0.5” 1 MOA=0.5” 100 YARDS 1” 200 YARDS | 2”Ranging with MOA is very easy and effective by simply knowing the size of the target in inches. If you cannot determine the size of the target, use a nearby object.

To range your target with the Dragoon MOA Reticle, use the included formulas and the sizing of your target or nearby object to determine the distance and the appropriate holds.
TIP: At 100 yards, a 20 inch wide target will fill the inside of the horse shoe. At 200 yards, the target will fill half the diameter.
Congratulations on purchasing a Swampfox optic equipped with Dragoon MIL reticle. Optimized for close to long range with its 6 MIL tree and 7.7 MIL outer diameter horseshoe. Dragoon MOA is compatible with any caliber, giving the user plenty of information for holds and shot correction with even the most popular and heavy hitting rounds.

Based on Milliradian (MIL) subtensions, the Dragoon MIL reticle is calibrated using angular measurements with respects to distance. These angular measurements are then used to estimate range and correct for bullet-drop in riflescopes, with 1 MIL corresponding to 10 centimeters for every 100 meters, or .1 mil being 1 centimeter at 100 meters.
