In addition, members expressed satisfaction with the range of services offered, including term share certificates, checking accounts, auto loans, and the new online banking upgrade. Overall, the annual meeting reinforced SWACU's commitment to its members through service and new technology, and ensured a positive outlook for 2024.

CURRENT PROMOTIONS

NEW YEAR, NEW MONEY HABITS The new year is a fresh start and a chance to evaluate our daily routines. Just as we have good habits like brushing our teeth or washing our hands, we can also have good money habits. Here are some tips to kickstart your financial goals in the New Year: 1. Set Clear Goals Start by setting financial goals and writing them down. This simple act provides direction and motivation. Whether it's reducing credit card debt or saving for a big purchase, having clear goals can guide your financial decisions and make the process easier. 2. Automate Payments and Savings Take advantage of automatic payments for bills, like BillPay, to ensure they are paid on time. Similarly, automate your savings by setting up automatic transfers or direct deposits into your savings account. This makes it easier to save consistently with low effort. 3. Budget Mindfully Practice mindful spending by creating a monthly budget. This will help you understand your income, expenses, and how much you can allocate towards your financial goals each month. A budget keeps you on track and accountable, which sets you up for financial success. IMPORTANT TAX DATES For most individuals, the deadline to file your 2023 taxes is Monday, April 15, 2024, unless extended due to a state holiday. SWACU partnered with TurboTax to help you save up to 20% off when filing your taxes. For more information, visit swacu.org/turbotax.

CHARITABLE GIVING SWACU was blessed to donate $25,000 to the North Texas Food Bank prior to Christmas. With the generosity of a matching donor, the amount was doubled to $50,000.
