KINESIOLOGY As a discipline, Kinesiology is built on the foundation of the physical and life sciences – chemistry, biology, and physics – to understand human movement and its impact on health, wellness, society, and the quality of life. Those interested in Kinesiology and/or careers in athletic training, chiropractic or physical therapy can pursue a degree in: • Exercise Science (BS) • Rehabilitation Medicine (BS) • Health & Physical Education, K-12 (BA) • Athletic Coaching (minor) SVSU’s dedicated faculty empowers its students to excel in classroom while providing rich research, networking, and internship opportunities. LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM The Kinesiology faculty aims to broaden student experiences by providing learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Students expand their knowledge by engaging in community and lab-based research projects and participating in service-learning opportunities embedded in the curriculum. Students are also provided with strong field-based instruction.
