KIC VIERT FEEST! Na een jaar hard werken is het eindelijk zover: Het tweede lustrum van Studievereniging KIC. KIC bestaat dit jaar 10 jaar en dat mag niet onopgemerkt blijven! De lustrumcommissie heeft zich daarom maandenlang ingezet om een week te organiseren vol sociale- en studiegerelateerde activiteiten voor al haar leden. In dit programmaboekje kun je alles lezen over het programma van de lustrumweek. Per dag staat aangegeven wat er te doen is en staan de locaties en tijden per activiteit aangegeven. Je kunt zo gemakkelijk je eigen programma samenstellen, net wat jou het beste uitkomt! Ook staat er veel belangrijke informatie in dit boekje. Zo staat er bij wie je van de organisatie terecht kan voor vragen en kun je veel praktische informatie over deze week vinden. Mocht je iets niet kunnen vinden, dan kun je ook altijd even langskomen op het KIC-kantoor. Ook is het handig om de Facebookpagina van het lustrum evenement te liken. Hier kun je onder andere leuke weetjes van de afgelopen 10 jaar vinden, en word je op de hoogte gehouden van de laatste ontwikkelingen met betrekking tot het lustrum. NIEUWE KIC-LOGO KIC bestaat 10 jaar en dat vieren we met de lustrumweek. Omdat het na 10 jaar hoog tijd is voor vernieuwing zal er tijdens de lustrumweek het nieuwe KIC-logo gepresenteerd worden. Voorafgaand is er een competitie gehouden tussen verschillende designers, zij konden hun versie van het nieuwe KIC-logo opsturen. Ben jij benieuwd wat het nieuwe KIC-logo is en wie deze heeft gemaakt? Kom dan langs op 23 mei vanaf 21:00 uur op de Grand Opening!

Kom op maandag 23 mei tussen 11:00 en 16:00 langs bij de Van Doorenveste en draai aan de Wheel of Fortune, hiermee kan je leuke (of minder leuke) gadgets winnen! Tegen een kleine vergoeding van â‚Ź0,50 doe je al mee. Daarnaast kan je tussen je colleges door een verkoeling halen bij onze stand, we delen namelijk ijsjes uit! Het thema van dit evenement is KIC START net als de eerste borrel van het nieuwe schooljaar in september 2015.

Op maandagavond 23 mei is het zo ver, het eerste feestje van de lustrumweek! Waar? Dat houden we nog even geheim... Het thema van deze avond is Think Pink, dus kom naar de Vismarkt en de persoon die geheel in het roze is verkleed zal je tussen 21:00 en 23:00 uur vertellen waar de Grand Opening plaats zal gaan vinden. Vanaf 21:00 uur gaan de deuren van de secret location open dus zorg dat je op tijd op de Vismarkt aanwezig bent. Tijdens deze avond zal ook het nieuwe KIC-logo op ludieke wijze onthuld worden. Vind jij dit nog niet genoeg reden voor een feestje? Dan delen we ook nog eens 200 gratis bier uit! Het thema van de Grand Opening is Think Pink net zoals een borrel in 2014. Hier kwamen veel leden in het roze verkleed en dit zien we ook graag terug in de lustrumweek!

DINSDAG Hangover Brunch 5
Om bij te komen van de Grand Opening en omdat iedereen een goed ontbijt nodig heeft, kan je op dinsdag 24 mei tussen 10:30 en 12:30 uur gratis brunchen met KIC! Deze brunch staat geheel in het teken van Amerika en vindt plaats op de Hanzehogeschool in lokaal TN A2.39. Dus kom uit je bed trek een Amerikaanse outfit aan en eet met ons mee terwijl er op de achtergrond wat Amerikaanse deuntjes afgespeeld worden. American Cliché is een thema die eerder is gezien op één van de borrels in 2014. Omdat Amerikanen van lekker eten houden, vonden wij het dan ook een goed idee om de Hangover Brunch in dit thema te houden.

Op dinsdag 24 mei om 16:00 uur is het dan zo ver, door de jungle rennen bij Target! Geheel in stijl met camouflagestrepen op je gezicht elkaar proberen te raken met je laser, maar let wel op de boobytraps... Durf jij het aan? Daag dan nu al je vrienden en vriendinnen uit voor dit spannende event! De kosten bedragen €15,- per persoon voor twee rondes. Tijdens het lasergamen gaan we rennen door de jungle net zoals tijdens de één van de Block Ending Party’s in Club Bedroom.

International Games 7
KIC goes international! Het laatste evenement van de dinsdag in de lustrumweek heeft I.C.U. geheel ingevuld met internationale spellen. Zo kunnen wij als oer-hollanders een stukje cultuur proeven door middel van leuke activiteiten. Het thema van deze avond is Ik Hou Van Holland, maar heb je een andere nationaliteit kom dan vooral langs in de kleuren van de vlag uit jouw geboorteland of doe eens gek en zet een sombrero op je hoofd. Kortom deze internationale avond wil je niet missen. International Games, around the world vindt plaats op 24 mei vanaf 21:00 uur in het Humanistisch Verbond (W.A. Scholtenstraat 2). Er wordt een kleine bijdrage van €3,- gevraagd, in ruil daar voor krijg je een leuke avond vol activiteiten en kan je onbeperkt drinken halen bij de bar. Het thema van deze avond is Ik Hou van Holland, dit thema hebben we eerder gezien in 2013 in onze oude stamkroeg Partycafé de Doos.

WOENSDAG Congres 9
Woensdag 25 mei staat in het teken van de toekomst, de afgelopen 10 jaar is er in ons vakgebied veel veranderd en het wordt tijd om vooruit te blikken. Tijdens het congres zullen twee sprekers aanwezig zijn, dit zijn Niels Neeskens van Studio MAD uit Almelo en Matthijs Smit van het Launch Café in Groningen. Het thema van het congres is ‘de trends van de komende 10 jaar op het gebied van communicatie, media en design’. Dit thema is gekozen omdat Studievereniging KIC 10 jaar bestaat en omdat we niet achteruitkijken maar vooruitkijken. “Wat gaat de toekomst ons brengen?”, dat is een interessante vraag. Daarmee gaan we back to the future! Het thema Back to the Future hebben we eerder gezien bij een Block Ending Party in 2014.

Na afloop van de lezingen van Studio MAD en het Launch CafĂŠ vindt er nog een netwerkborrel plaats. Deze borrel is bedoeld om natuurlijk gezellig een drankje te doen en even na te praten, maar ook om te netwerken met bedrijven voor een leuke stage, afstudeeropdracht, wat meer informatie over het werkveld of wie weet wel voor jouw droombaan! Daarnaast is het een leuke gelegenheid om te sparren over de aankomende trends op het gebied van onder andere media, design en management. De volgende bedrijven zullen aanwezig zijn op de netwerkborrel: Studio Mad, Launch CafĂŠ, StormMC, Alledaags, Statement, OTP en Mr. Chadd. Waarschijnlijk zullen er meer bedrijven aanhaken. In 2015 was het thema van het congres Carrieretijgers en deze mensen zijn dan ook welkom op de netwerkborrel!

Comedy Night 11
Lachen, gieren en brullen dat zal er gebeuren tijdens deze hilarische avond. Met de Engelse versie van de Lama’s zal dat zeker goed gaan komen. De groep die een show weg gaat geven heet Stranger Things Have Happened en voor een kleine 3 euro kan jij al naar dit evenement komen in je.... pyjama! Want het thema van deze avond is pyjamaparty. Op woensdag 25 mei om 21:00 uur zal het ‘t Land van Kokanje haar deuren openen en wandelen we door het restaurant zo het roze Bar Bubbels in. De show zal ongeveer tot 23:00 uur duren en naderhand is er de mogelijkheid om nog een drankje te doen en zelf grapjes te maken. Aan de deur zal een kaartje €5,- kosten. Het thema Pyjamaparty komt voort uit één van de borrels uit 2014 in de nieuwe stamkroeg Ome Ko. Kom dus genieten van de Strangers in je meest relaxte outfit.

Hierboven is de lustrumcommissie weergegeven, zij hebben de gehele lustrumweek voor jou mogen organiseren. Van locaties tot aan draaiboeken, alles wat je rondom deze week kan bedenken hebben zij uitgevoerd. Namens het bestuur wil ik deze toppers dan ook bedanken. DONDERDAG Canoeing 13
De Groningse wateren trotseren kan tijdens het kanoën op donderdag 26 mei tussen 15:00 en 17:00 uur. Het thema van dit evenement is Full Moon, dus trek je meest felle neon kleuren kleding weer uit de kast en zet een KIC-petje op je hoofd en ga het water op met je vrienden! De kosten bedragen €7,50 voor 2 uur uurtjes ronddobberen. De introductieweek is de eerste week van je studententijd op de Hanzehogeschool Groningen, het thema Full Moon is een thema van één van de vele eindfeesten in Ocean41.

In je studententijd in Groningen moet je een keer in het Noorderplantsoen gebarbecued hebben. Daarom staat er ook een BBQ op de planning en het thema is Trop It Like It’s Hot! Dus trek je slippers aan en doe een hawaiislinger om je nek, zodat jij klaar bent om met KIC te genieten tot in de late uurtjes. Voor maar €14,- kan je mee barbecuen, hier zijn de drankjes, vlees en andere lekkernijen bij inbegrepen. De laatste borrel van het schooljaar 20122013 en tevens de laatste borrel in Partycafé de Doos had als thema Tropical Party, Trop It Like It’s Hot!

VRIJDAG Game Afternoon 15
It’s your time to shine tijdens de Game Afternoon! Speciaal voor alle spelletjesliefhebbers trekken we alle bord- en kaartspellen weer uit de kast. Wil je soepel proberen te blijven doe dan mee met een potje Twister, ga je toch liever valsspelen doe dan mee met het Valse Motten of als je vanaf 15:30 in Wakkerdam wil wonen kan dat ook tijdens ons uurtje Weerwolven. Tussen 12:00 en 17:00 uur is het mogelijk om mee te doen met één van de leuke spellen in lokaal D2.08 in de Van Doorenveste. Het is een gratis evenement dus je kan in- en uitlopen wanneer je wilt! It’s your time to shine is het thema van het gala in 2013, dit is één van de vele gala’s die samen met andere verenigingen in Huize Maas is georganiseerd.

Wat is een lustrumweek nou zonder een eindfeest? En wat is een lustrumweek nou zonder een eindfeest met een cool thema? Juist daarom hijsen we onze superheldenpakjes weer aan en vliegen vanaf 22:00 naar het Platformtheater. Voor maar €5,- kan je bij dit vette feest aanwezig zijn, hierbij zit entree, garderobe en piekmomenten bij inbegrepen. Aan de deur zullen de kaarten €7,50 worden dus zorg er voor dat de kaarten al in huis zijn. De deuren sluiten om 00:00 uur dus wees op tijd! Het thema superheroes is in de afgelopen vijf jaar al twee keer terug te vinden. Zo heeft de meest drukbezochte borrel van het schooljaar 20122013 en de eerste Block Ending Party van het schooljaar 2013-2014 dit thema. Reden genoeg om dit succesthema terug te laten komen!

Final Party
ACTIEVE LEDEN CHALLENGE Speciaal voor de actieve leden van dit studiejaar is de actieve leden challenge bedacht. De bedoeling hier van is om samen met je commissie de onderstaande opdrachten uit te voeren tijdens de lustrumweek waarmee er een leuke prijs te verdienen valt. Van de uitgevoerde opdrachten is uiteraard bewijs nodig, daarom mogen alle voorzitters dit (een foto of filmpje) in de voorzittersapp sturen zodat het bestuur en de lustrumcommissie de puntentelling zo eerlijk mogelijk kunnen laten verlopen. Van elk evenement is er bewijs nodig in de vorm van een foto of filmpje. Het is begrijpelijk dat het niet mogelijk is dat alle commissieleden bij elk om bij elk evenement aanwezig zijn. Dit zal dan ook worden meegenomen in de puntentelling. In totaal zijn er nog 190 punten te winnen voor de commissies, behalve voor de introductiecommissie. Zij hebben de eerste challenge gewonnen en staan dus ook met 10 punten voor. Wij wensen in ieder geval alle actieve leden veel succes met deze challenge!

Final Party What is a lustrum week without an epic final party? And what is a lustrum week without a cool theme? That’s why we’ve organized the final party with a superhero theme. On Friday the 27th of May at 22:00 pm we’re flying to the Platformtheater. For only €5,- (including wardrobe and cheap drinks) you can dance with us as your favorite superhero. There will also be tickets available at the door, but for €7,50. Doors are closing at 00:00, so be there on time. We’ll se you there!

It’s your time to shine during the Game Afternoon! Especially for all game-lovers, we’ve picked up all card- and boardgames. When you love to move, you can play Twister, if you like cheating you can play Valse Motten or if you want to live in the town of Wakkerdam you can play Werewolves at 15:30 pm.. Between 12:00 and 17:00pm it’s possible to play with one or more fun games in room D2.08 at the Van Doorenveste. It’s a free event and you can come by whenever you like!

Laugh your ass of during the hilarious comedy night we have planned for you! The Stranger Things Have Happened will give you a fun night and it’s only €3, - to attend… in your pyjamas! That’s because the theme for this event will be pyjama party. This event will take place on Wednesday the 25th of May at 9 pm at Bar Bubbles in the back of ‘t Land van Kokanje. The comedy show will end around 11 pm and after that you could stay there if you would like to; to have some drinks and make some jokes yourself. Tickets will be available at the door for €5,-.

After the lectures in Dutch there will be a network event. At this event there will be some drinks and some little bites. The purpose of this event is to connect student, teachers and companies with each other. Maybe you could make some nice contacts for your internship, graduation or perhaps a job! Besides that, you could discuss some communication aspects, management aspects or other subjects with people with a lot of knowledge about it.

Around the World in 4 Games KIC goes international! I.C.U. has organized a night with international games. During this event we will be introduced to games and cultures from all over the world. The theme of the night is “Ik Hou van Holland” (I love Holland) but you are highly encouraged to dress according to your own culture. Make sure you don’t miss out on this experience! The evening will start at 9 PM at the Humanistisch Verbond (W.A. Scholtenstraat 2). For €3,- (to be paid at the door) you’ll get to enjoy this wonderful activity and unlimited drinks at the bar.

Lasertag Run through the jungle and shoot each other! On the 24th of May at 4 pm at Target you can shoot whomever you want! Challenge your friends and try to hit each other with your laser gun! To recover from the awesome night before we have organised a nice hangover brunch. We will serve a free brunch on the 24th of May between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm. Theme of this activity will be America and will take place in classroom TN A2.39 at Van Doorenveste, Zp11. So put on something American and have a nice brunch with us with some American tunes on the background.

So put on your pink outfit and meet us at the Vismarkt. When you see a person all dressed in pink, ask him or her where you have to go and he or she will tell you where you have to be for the Grand Opening. You will find the person on the Vismarkt between 9 pm and 11 pm; so make sure you are on time!! During this party the board of Study Association KIC will reveal the new logo and it will be legen… wait for it… dary! That should be reasons enough to join us at this awesome party.

On Monday the 23rd of May between 11:00 am and 16:00 pm there will be a Wheel of Fortune at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, outside at Van Doorenveste. For only â‚Ź0,50 you could spin the wheel and win some nice gadgets! Besides the Wheel of Fortune, we will hand out some ice-lollies. So come over to chill between lectures with a nice ice-lolly! The theme of this activity is KIC START. This was the theme of the first monthly drink of the school year in September 2015.

NEW KIC LOGO Study Association KIC exists for 10 years already and we will celebrate it with a lustrum week. After 10 years it is time for something new. That’s why we will present a new logo during this week. Previous months several designers competed to make the new logo for KIC. They all designed a new logo and have send it to the board. During the Grand Opening on Monday the 23rd of May the board of Study Association KIC will present it to us! Are you curious who will win the competition and what the new logo for KIC will look like? KIC IS CELEBRATING! After a year of hard work it’s time for the second lustrum of Study Association KIC. KIC is now ten years old and that’s why our lustrum committee has organized this week for the past few months. The lustrum week is full of social and study related activities. In this program booklet you can find everything about the activities. All the activities are in here per day included the locations, times and other stuff. So you can compose your own lustrum programme.Other than the activities, you can also find other important stuff like practical information.
