The golden grass, or Capim Dourado, is only harvested during the months September – November, allowing the golden grass to regain its natural golden shine during the rest of the year.
Financially Viable The producers set the prices that they find fair. The generated income allows people to become self sustaining again or even build a succesfull business and hire others!
Capivara.
Ceramica Capivara is a perfect example of a rural artisan community that is on the fast track towards becoming a fully self sustainable business through the aid of fair trade inspired programs and institutions.
The natural park Serra da Capivara was granted the title UNESCO cultural heritage. The prehistoric inscriptions serve as the main style of decoration in this communities line of ceramic products.
